Respect to that Senator.

This is the best solution ever to the problem of this country.
If firearms should be fully legalized in this country there will be total peace in every corridor and veranda of every juncture.
Assuming that a robbery incident is going on in a particular place and alarm is raised, my brothers and sisters, the robbers has no choice than to execute themselves immediately before the bloody civilians burst out their brain with infinimal discharging of bullets.

There will be a lot of respect and honest people in 9ja.

In developed country that their policing is 100x better than Nigerian police they still allow guns .
I don't think Nigerian police can handle the effect of guns in the society.

When a blood thirsty animal comes to attack a family, beautiful wife, young scared children, including a 3 month old only son. the feeling of helplessness n inability to save ur family is far worse than death itself knowing that all those religious leaders who r asking u to fast n pray including wealthy politicians all have their families safe outside the country..
No body with armed security guarding them should ever open their mouth to solicit against self defense except they are sponsors.
Those that have suffered in the hands of these insurgents are the pple qualified to say no to self defense..

Not necessarily. If everyone is armed there will be a lot more consequential thought. You will need an army to break in to rob a simple household and robberies will be less successful. Moreover petty squabbles and fist fights will lessen because of the potentially catastrophic consequences. Nuclear weapons is why the bitterest enemies on earth, America and Russia have hardly fought against one another. Moreover you will not hear of 50 terrorists besieging a village of 3,000 people and slaughtering 500 just like that. They will rather require 5,000 men to do that and this cannot be planned and executed clandestinely.

Abeg everybody should have guns at home and anybody found with gun outside his house should be arrested and jailed .
The only thing I have at home to defend my self at home is a cutlass but how can I bring a cutlass out in a gun fight .?

This is got to be the best proposal from the Senate In a long time time. I keep saying this, what we need is gun control law that alows citizens to own gun.

Just as nuclear acquisition deters confrontation by world power, so will this put evil muderers in check.

Why wouldn't they keep attacking when they know very well most families don't even have a natchet for protection.

We really need this law. We have to start defending ourselves . Peace

That is the problem, with the divisions we have on our hands.. there is a possibilty even the righteous would be killed.. we think it can be contained because we see countries whom have gone past the worse phase of gun enactment..

Yes reshuffling the security forces is also a good idea, but this mass shooting mostly happens in states with gun laws, while it is much less in states without gun laws, do you know why?

Mr senator,i beg to differ.having a liberal gun policy is the worst initiative that can be implemented.considering the ethnic and religious colouration attached to these killings,nigeria may toe the path of detroit,usa and it will be a free for all.we dnt ve the right policies and machinaries in place to detect who is sane or insane and qualified to own a gun.we dnt ve medical and past criminal records of our citizens and we cnt even checkmate gun smuggling talk more of been able to knw who has a particular gun and when the gun was giving.we should be working towards state and community policing,beef up intelligence gathering,overhaul our security apparatus and mass sensitization on the importance of nigerias unity.our religious leaders ve alot to do than just ranting.they need to understand the key role they can play in all these and instead of venting anger,thus influencing their followers into hate,a more subtle approach should be adopted.buhari himself must be up and doing,nt just in words bt action

Put stricter gun control measures in place.

Outlaw the possession of firearms by private citizens.

And strengthen border control.

I mean the logic there is sponsor killings in a country, either hire or let people color it with tribal or religion as the cause, which after a time, as people are pushed to the wall and instinct kicking in, they would cry out for legalizing guns. and if accepted the govt will buy fire arms from them, making twice or triple of what they had spent.
