It is common this days for friends and relatives to upload Corpse of their loved ones who passed away. Their acts portrays their own way of showing Condolences.
A lady has taken to her Facebook page to frown at such acts. She said if you upload pictures of your dead friends to wish them 'RIP', it means you are not a friend. She said it is disrespect, inhumane. The person is just heartless and seeking attention. The person is causing more psychological trauma for the deceased real friends and family.

Dead family?

A distinguished professor from my university lost his life some years back in a fatal accident.

You need to see how his near naked corpse was displayed on blogs and all. It was soooooooooooooo sad. I'm not even family but seeing that photo like that was terrible. Former students on these blogs were begging for it to be taken off but it was only when his family reached out one or two of such people removed it. The children of the deceased promptly wrote to the blogs requesting for the picture of the corpse to be removed. Only then was it removed. Hmm. That thing ehn, is very bad oh!

Sorry but obituary pics are not the same thing.
Obituary pics are those of the now deceased while they were alive.
The post here is specifically aimed at those that upload pics of corpses - especially during lying in state etc.

Especially on Nairaland. People are slowly being desensitized and that's not good for the psyche. Something needs to be done about it.

An acquaintance's father passed on in the US some years back and the idiot uploaded the swollen body of the pop in a white casket on Facebook and was tagging me.
