I went for medicals today, and I was told that my blood pressure is too high (150/100), and as result, the doctor did not continue the medical examination.

Please, I am worried and am on my way to see my doctor... I don't know why my BP is high.. Can I be disqualified for that reason?

This is not a problem. Did the doctor do it 3x? Officially they are expected to do it 3x if the first is above 140. If its stays above 140 after the 3rd trial, the doctor is expected to include creatinine test in your urinalysis and blood test. If he doesnt then expect an email from CIC requesting for further test but it's basically the serum creatinine test.If its within the normal range, then you just have to get a letter from your person doctor stating your medications, the cost of it every year and your condition.

It's really not a big deal.
I checked mine a week before I went for medicals and it was 107. Test date, it was 145 the first time. The doctor turned off the light for me and asked me to relax. Tried a 2nd time and it was 138. Told me it was ok.

So yours truly got a ghost update. But she subsequently got an email letting her know that her V.O. Has decided that an interview is warranted and they’ll let her know her know when

No change to mycic. Still in IP1. But that dashboard says profile updated.

Please pray for me and shower me in advice and relevant links. They didn’t say why I need an interview though so I’m not sure how to prep.

Don't worry, it will end in praise. Please what's your AOR if you don't mind and your V.O?

The doctor is not supposed to stop your medical examination because of high bp. He is required to complete it and submit his report to CIC.
Go on CIC website and read on how panel physicians should handle a bp case. He is expected to have done it 3 times.

Let's try and read up on medical requirements not just on your part but what the doctors are expected to do. I know we have a culture of believing what a professional says but they are also humans and can be wrong. I once went for a creatinine test and the doctor told me it was high. By the time I finished analyzing the result and how being a black alters the result because obviously they just calculated with the normal formal excluding my race. I am also a full African woman and a bit muscular which also affects creatinine level occasionally. She was shocked and ended the conversation. I went to see another doctor and he told me that I was fine that body mass and race are taken into account occasionally when my urinalysis and gfr were normal.

I did the file regeneration and they said they would treat it and call me for recapturing. No call, no SMS. I'm going there today.

It is not a grounds for disqualification. Dont add to your problem. Go on the website and read about it.
Unfortunately if it doesn't come down, then you are hypertensive. Dont know how they diagnose in Nigeria but in Canada bp of 140 and above over 3 months I think is diagnosed as hypertension.

So if it doesnt come down, consult with your doctor and start taking medication for it. Limit salt in your diet and start exercising. Life goes on.

File transferred to the Oga who will endorse its regeneration. Without that, one can't be recaptured. I will go back next Thursday or if they call me before then for the recapturing or check if the passport has been printed. They said they are delaying because the file might not be missing after all. I told them since they can't locate the file.. My file regeneration application ought to be approved. I can't wait more than few weeks.

You can't find the file, can't print.. Foot dragging to approve the file regeneration.

Hi guys, trust you're all doing good today?

As it is well known that once one's passport is stamped with PRV, one must land in Canny before medical or passport expires, whichever comes first.

Now the question is, is it possible for one to extend this expiry date by doing another medical or through any other possible ways?

Also, we know that if one delines an ITA, that profile will be back in the pool and can receive ITA at a later date. What happens in a case where one accepts an ITA but unable to submit before the 60 days timeline?

Waec result for ECA You don't need that o! Just evaluate only your Bsc and ICAN/CISA to claim 2 or more certificates point. Meanwhile, I don't know if the latter certificates qualifies for 1yr or two semesters requirements. Others can answer you on that anyways.

Hi JonJon2017,
So 2 months back, we went for our own medicals. My spouse is hypertensive, it’s hereditary. He’s been taking drugs for the past 4years for it and been seeing a cardiologist every quarter. He usually gets apprehensive once he steps into the hospital, so that one added to his BP reading being 190/100. The checked 3 times and it was the same. So the PP included creatinine among his tests to check if his kidneys were fine. 16days later we got a mail from the PP that CIC has requested for further tests. We got the mail on a Saturday, so on Monday we headed to Abuja clinics. They said we need to pay to see the cardiologist N18750. We saw the cardiologist later that evening who said we need to do ECG and Echo2. Total cost for both was N89500. We weren’t smiling at all. But we didn’t have a choice. We however were more concerned about the state of his heart.
Prior to seeing the cardiologist at Abuja clinics we had gone to see our own cardiologist at Nisa Premier to see if we could do both tests and have a heads up on what to expect later that Monday. Let’s just say we made a mistake because the results were not good.
Fast forward to Monday evening, he did the ECG n ECHo, after which the cardiologist said he didn’t know what Nisa Premier was seeing, but all he can see is a healthy functioning heart, though it’s pumping harder than normal but since it’s being managed with drugs then it’s not a problem. He prescribed more drugs and showed us the report he was forwarding to CIc and assured us that all was well.
Fast forward 2days later and Medicals passed on myCIC account.
Bottom line, like someone said earlier, HBP is not a disease it’s a condition and as long as your organs are fine(kidney, heart), you won’t be disqualified on that basis.

Also, we know that if one delines an ITA, that profile will be back in the pool and can receive ITA at a later date. What happens in a case where one accepts an ITA but unable to submit before the 60 days timeline? After 60days without submission your profile expires, if there will be grace period afterwards I doubt. Unless, if you had presented a humane case earlier prior to your ITA expiration. Others can add theirs.

When I went for my medical I asked the nurses if people can be disqualified based on their medical. And she told me no that the whole idea is to make sure that everyone is medically fit.She also said for those that have serious or slight medical issues, they make sure the person is informed and treated and retested if need be...
So as others have said cool down and retest.

The Dr shldnt have stopped the medicals.

Verify your BSC and CISA only. You will scan a copy of the certificates to WES with hellofax and request transcripts from your school and cisa to be sent directly to WES.
