Neverdown999, I respect you a lot in this forum. From onset, your information have always be 99% correct. You are one of the best informant here. When you say a word, 95% of the people here believe u intoto.

You have called for a protest and I trust that so many people would line up behind u. Our imaginations would be that "If a whole neverdown999 go talk like this, that means gbege dey o".

But pls I want to ask u a quite polite question, with the level of classified information u get about this recruitment, I know it would very easy for you to check if your name is in the list or not. Pls Sir, is your name in the list of successful candidates or not?

Your composition makes no sense at all. Why the F*** should applicants be concerned if people that didn't make the interview are laughing at this thread? You make no logical sense at all. As regards your last statement, if you make the successful list, send me a DM, we'll meet at induction. I will not desert this page because I have received my APL.

All applicants went through hell, and no one should be left in the dark at this critical stage because they don't have godfathers!

Having being a silent follower of this thread, including posting something once a few months back, I feel the need to post again. Before you all jump into conclusions, and start up a protest, you all need to slow down and give DPR some weeks. Many of you have already concluded that this recruitment is not by merit, but what if you are wrong? What if it was actually merit based for the most part? Ofcourse, no matter how merit based something is, there will always be a few individuals who will come in through the back door. This doesnt happen only in Nigeria, it happens also in advanced societies. Even in heaven, many people will not get in by merit (but i digress).

You do not want to rush and start a movement prematurely calling the recruitment fake, and risk the anger of the management if they had actually tried and fought for most of the list to be based on merit. In that regard, even the successful ones who made it by merit would have shot themselves in the foot. Many of you here should be careful of those who are so eager to call this recruitment fake, and start a movement. It is possible these people never made it to the interview, and are envious of you all who made it, and thus want this recruitment canceled. It could also be that a few of them who made it to the interview found a way to check their names, and saw they didnt make it and are seeking to discredit it. Be wise and careful of starting any movement on social media that could jeopardize what may otherwise have been a mostly fair recruitment. Give them a few more weeks and if you do not hear anything, then you can push it the protest way. You all have been patient all these while, what would a few more weeks of patience cost? Do not act like the proverbial tortoise who was to be locked in a pit of "pooh" for 7 days, only to start complaining so badly on the 7th day when he was already scheduled to be released, which caused his sentence to be increased.

I can only go by DPR's antecedents in the 2010 to 2013 recruitment, which i was a part of. That recruitment was mostly merit based. There was a lot of hoopla about the list been hijacked by the powers that be. However, DPR recruited a vast majority of people by merit. I do not expect them to deviate much this time. So, be patient and allow this thing play out, and for now pay no heed to those who want to start some kind of movement. You think they may be fighting for the common good, but they could be masquerading the real intent, which is to render the entire process null and void, irrespective of how many got it on merit.

I was privileged to have access to the list of all successful applicants including scores, and I get classified briefing! I want to urge every one of you to follow the handles that have been created. I will not be responding the DMs unfortunately for reasons best known to me. Kindly note that I'm just a concerned citizen trying to make a difference.

If we are able to successfully to pull this stunt and all successful applicants receive their appointment letters, I will be the happiest man ever to live.

I want to also urge successful ones that have APLs to follow the handles as well, together we can change this and everyone can be collectively happy.

Let us be our brother's keeper at this point, so many people are hanging on the line, they have invested time and effort, some are with no jobs, some are underemployed, some are in bitterness right now. Let's fight this menace together. Let us end this selfishness for once!!!

I am not part of your recruitment but I have a lot of friends who are involved.

I was involved in the 2013 NLNG recruitment that ended last year. A lot of waitlisted people did not get in because at a point some waitlisted got angry and used the social media to tag all the taggable.

The next day, we all got regret emails. I don't regret the action but I regret the emotional and psychological investment in those 4 years of torture.

Like someone said, you guys have to be patient with sense. Some of the wicked HR staff may keep some of your letters till October and claim you guys did not show thereby replacing your names with their people.

At the same time, you guys have to come together and strategize. The connected ones among you need to address the issue from the top while the others should prayerfully support them.

I repeat, remember the bolded, don't go the social media route yet o! A word is enough for the wise.

My brother, u might not be correct. We still have genuine people with genuine intentions. Its possible that he feels the pains of other Nigerians and not selfish.

Am not against any peaceful protest. What am asking for is more time uptill Friday next week.

On a second thought, based on what happened in the last recruitment (that's the protest), I don't think DPR would be so foolish to allow itself be in the news again as regards recruitment protests.

Based on above, I think I like the gingering that neverdown999 is bringing here so that if there are DPR guys here, they should hurriedly go and inform the management that some guys are planning a protest o. With that, the APLs would be realized asap.

Patience is virtue, if you read my previous posts, I urged everyone to wait for some time to see if people without connection would be contacted. Following the newly created handles is a form of staying alert. I am not urging anyone to pull any stunt for now, but if normal folks aren't contacted, then we would need to take action!!!

I understand we are all pained but we must exercise a little patience.

We must give them the benefit of doubt till next Friday. I follow dpr on twitter and I saw some people are already attacking them and calling the recruitment a fraud while tagging pictures of the viral appointment letters. Let us be careful at this stage. We will definitely protest if (not just appt letters) but a list of successful candidates is not released.

I spoke with a ranking senator yesterday and he was fuming about why the list of successfuls were not posted on national dailies. He sounded as though it was the agreement (he is a member of the petroleum committee) or perhaps the standard thing to do.

I assure you that many people (even the management) are aware of the agitations. They must be getting feedbacks by now. Mr Ladan's number was switched off since yesterday and only switched back on this afternoon. I believe everyone is under pressure.

Like many have suggested, let's exercise some restraint till Friday next week. I personally do not mind travelling from Abuja to Lagos to join the protest but till then, let us use the official channels to "politely" and in a civil manner, ask for the list and/or appointment letters of the merit candidates to be released.

Another suggestion is to request for a copy of the list from FCC. As a public organisation, FCC is binded by the FOI Act, so I believe if we request for a copy of the list through a legal or official channel, we shouldnt be denied.

Many of us only need to find closure. If my name is not on the final list, I will move on but not having an idea at all makes everyone feel cheated.

Someone informed me recently that there is nothing like list lying around somewhere. That it is hidden. Not everyone has access to it. The person i asked to check mine said he would try to reach out to someone to see if he get info about my details in the system. Not heard from him though.

The info you will get to hear is the number of APL at a particular Zone and each group of APL sent to a particular zone would be documented and listed serially. That shouldn't serve as the full list of all successes.

APLs at Abuja office should have a documented list different from those at Kaduna office. Just as was the case during interview. Each interview centre had a list of shortlisted candidate. For example i did my interview at PH. My name should not appear in Abuja.

In a nutshell i do not (for now) believe that all geologist employed are from the North

Being speechless, hopeful and prayerful since on Monday when Letters started flying out.As we all know this process seems now to be biased, hijacked and taken over by Stakeholders. Buharis Government Officials are not true to themselves.By the way, who started this 80% MERIT HOAX.That person did more harm than good .If I had heeded to a friends advice since interview days there would have been no need following this bumper to bumper. For our info,APC folks don take over;even the Minister for State of Petroleum Resources Daughter has collected. How can Tatas Secretary been saying if we don't hear from them tomorrow or Monday, we should forget about it.WHAT A HIGH LEVEL OF HIGI HAGA AND CRINKUM CRANKUM attitude from them in this final stage of this recruitment that some of us risks our time, life, money, even current job etc from the baby stage and now for adults to behave civilized, democratic and honest is a problem.Imagine one of them saying today that since we were contacted individually from exam invite and interview invite, there is no issue or problem now.I had to tell him how much is the cost of text or email. He was speechless.

So my people, the only thing left now to first continuing praying. If God say let go,let us let go for only He can fight for us.He disappoints the device of the crafty and their hands cant perform their Enterprise. Next is to cry out publicly via facebook, twitter, Channels TV , Sahara Reporters etc but we know say we cant fight the government, ask yourself or remind yourself of CBN,FIRS,NCC etc that they play us wayo.Wetin happen after, It was swept under the carpet. So na who get power and time go protest na.Remember say Democracy nor dey Nigeria again. If you argue, ask Fayose.

Finally and personally I will keep praying with Hope against hope believing what God said and also what Marvel is still telling us.Believe God, you shall be established and believe His Messenger and you shall prosper too.Life goes on and better jobs still ahead. let us (the UN-STAKEHOLDEEES) dont give up.What is yours is yours.Better find Malt and Chicken drink now and say NIGERIA WE HAIL THEE.IF YOU KNOW, YOU KNOW.

It's apparent you are a snake. And you really don't need to be so pained if you are truly not being biased!!! I won't dance to the tune of your cheap challenge. I'm only opening people's eyes to the situation at hand- and for them to be alert! I haven't instigated anything negative till this moment. And really, I am not boasting of having information- I am only creating an awareness on here because I know there are DPR staff on here, there are stakeholders candidates on this thread, there are top shots as well on this thread as well. They can read all these posts. Let them do the needful asap and conclude this recruitment so everyone moves on happily regardless being a special candidate or not.

The innocent followers have a mind of their own, I won't control them, they will do what they feel is best for them. And I know for sure people are clearly seeing what is ongoing. What I told people today is the situation at hand that there is fire on the mountain; they shouldn't relax.

If you are observant enough, you would have noticed I encouraged people to relax and calm down this morning but I quickly updated them on the current ugly state of things.

However, there is still little time for DPR to do the needful to contact all successful ones.

I am beginning to believe you have a selfish ambition- and only folks with insight will see this.

No one has initiated a protest. People are only beginning to become aware of the dicey situation at hand.

I didnt see that the end would turn out to be like this......Very very unprofessional from DPR......No matter the pressure they should have given the appointment letters to merit first before anything.....very very disappointing from Shakur, laden and their team.

That is not needed for now. Patience is virtue

And let's fold our hands and wait!

Hmm, Though I hate to admit this cuz I know a patient dog eats no bone in Nigeria.

People, Neverdown999 is making sense. Let us all wait a little longer and let us keeping watching & praying while we wait.

We the hopefuls are living in the proverbial glass house, lets not start throwing stones just yet. Please stand down.

Even to issue a disclaimer to the public is too difficult for them. They cant assure a common man anything now. They can only keep us in limbo. They just allowed themselves to be sucked in this kind of mess......what a nonsense.

Oga forget it!

I’ll still advise you don’t instigate anything!

The process is not over yet...

The only difference between folks that went to school and those that didn’t get the chance to go is “the ability to do things smartly and to approach situations differently”

You want to fight a process that’s not yet over..how logical is that??

It is termed DOA (Dead on Arrival!)

Have you seen any official information from DPR as regards the process yet Hmmm

“Recruitment that even staff union can’t fight”

I still wish you well tho!

Folks just be wise! And don’t let anyone take you cheap for personal gains!

Cheerz!
