We know that nepotism is everywhere in Nigeria but DPR would have done underground recruitment instead of making innocent Nigerians go through pains.

Why the advert, aptitude test and interview?

What stops them from sending regret mail or closing the portal of unsuccessful candidates?

I never expected this high level of unprofessionalism from the people that regulate our petroleum resources.

Neverdown, God bless you for dealing out these bitter pills and not backing down. For those who shouted me in, thank God I'm not the only one who heard this. All our eyes better stay open because Nigeria has not changed at ALL. Nepotism is the order of the day. There is no list for the merits yet. If there is, it is hidden deep. The northerners have majority of the slots. We better pray because something is happening.

I mentioned this before merit list and stake holder list. The merit list had 300 names while the stakeholders list had 200 names. The recruitment was merit based.

Mr Tata sacrificed 100 slots that was meant for a fresh recruitment this year to protect the 300 merit candidates. Thats the reason the names on the stakeholder list increased from 100 to 200.

There was a management meeting in the HQ today attended by the Zonal Operation Controllers to deliberate on the current recruitment and other issues. I will provide updates on the outcome of the meeting later.

I want to assure everyone that successful candidates will be contacted. Please be patient with them.

It depends on the zonal office and how early the letters get to them. It will last till next week for them to issue APLs to all successful ones. They will contact them by calls and sms. Please ensure your mobile number on the portal is active and home address correct.

I feel really sad tho, I mean if I work hard and still I cant get what I work for fair and square in my own country what's the point then? why should I want to stay here contribute in any way.

The situation is bad but let's be patient and be careful, "if u allow someone to break a coconut wit ur head, u wont b among those that will eat from it," let's give DPR a benefit of doubt, till next week Friday.

I have just collected my apl at Maiduguri zonal office of Dpr. I don't care if you believe it or not. For your information, 3 of us receive it this morning at the zonal office. I overheard one of the staffs saying "this boys are gurus ooo.." the statement caught my attention so after collection I reached out to the other two guys to ask them few questions. Both are GTs, 1st class students with masters both. And both received the same calls almost the same time yesterday. Let me tell you few things about myself personally. I also finished with 1st class, had Master's and currently running my PhD program. I have registered with two professional bodies. The Aptitude test was very easy for me, I am very sure I scored more than 95%, my interview was tough, they asked me too many questions and I was wrong in some of them.

I wish to say more especially what happened at the zonal office today with photos proofs, but too many negativity in this room. So yeah, believe it or not, it's your cup of tea. Thank you.

This is Nigeria. The truth is this type of things happen. In 2013, when I got my present FG Job, 6 out of the 25 successful ones didn’t see their appointment letter. They were panicking and almost crying until they told them their sponsors had already picked it for them, But the sponsors waited for the merit candidates to get their letters before giving it out.
We should all chill, DPR will call the merit successful ones. Im so sure
I just pray I shd be among Cos I already typed my resignation letter here ��

We no know wetin dem dey call upfront, buy na every January na im these other Federal workers dey hammer upfront, still get 13th month join for December.

Banks dey give us loans in hundreds of thousands and max of maybe N2 or 3m, while these real Federal workers own dey start from double digits millions...

You see, there are Federal workers and there are Federal workers; and like they say, the difference is clear...

If it calls for protesting, let's protest I stand solidly by it. This is because the earlier we start the better for us. Since we are too sure that some people have collected their own APL. After all we are all citizen and we deserve equal right.
I believe strongly with togertherness we can change the way things are done in this country.

A normal applicant with just maybe a few friends in DPR or FCC cannot get access to some kind of info shared here.

My brother, there are some information posted here that only warrants people with high connection to access. Especially Legend90 and Tami.

Nice job so far.. But if you really are concerned about us you should be able to share the list with us as it will be a good foundation to lay our protest on and also calm some nerves. Also I advise you share a copy of you employment letter so we know you mean well for the rest of us.

Forget about all this bullshiit talk about batches. If people have been having access to collecting APLs for almost two weeks now, there is absolutely no justifications for not contacting others officially.

If you stay in pH, let's plan and visit their office on Monday, mine is to hear from the horse's mouth, even if it's lies, lemme hear it from DPR direct, for posterity.

If I received a regret mail, I won't have any business bugging anyone. If you're up for it let's try, I pleaded with a friend of mine to help me make enquires at Lagos head office too, in working systems government agencies shouldn't be secret societies like they are in Nigeria.

And their their public affairs people went on and on about how they are open and IT compliant when I interacted with them at NOG conference last week.
