It's sad when there's money for engine and transmission, logistics Mech Labour, parking fees, petrol but not enough money to buy good engine oil (which is one of the reasons you are replacing the engine)

Sadly you will not replace the engine oil and you will repeat with xhp again.

Pls what can cause spark knock or pinging noise that I usually hear when my engine is accelerating or is working hard under load (driving up a hill, passing on the highway). Engine is a 1zz-fe,old engine with just 150k miles.

baba we don scan am before, we got p0325,p0446 and p0430, we changed knock sensor and code p0325 no dey again but spark knock still continues, do you think the 2 remaining codes can cause spark knock

I have one more question though, the 2.0 has been hard to get but I will keep looking .... just in case one couldn't get it, will the 1.8L be okay? seems like the 2.0 is really rare . thanks for your feedback

Hello Gazzuzz,

My Toyota corolla runs fine, doesnt smoke even after reving it yet, I notice it shorts oil lately, I do servicing regularly since I got it frm sm1
I use G-life synthetic 5w30 oil, I have had to top it once since the last service which was abt 3wks ago and I notice it is shortening again

What cld be d problem pls, cld it be d engine or the oil I use is bad

A friend of mine saw a good deal for a Mercedes 2007 C230 and wants to make a transition from a 2005 corolla .
But doesn't know if it's a worthwhile upgrade.
Is it a problematic car ? Maintenance wise and parts sourcing ?
Waiting for your feedback so I can pass on .. preciate in advance .

hmmmmmm, this is hard truth, but I will definitely replace it full synthetic oil

Depending on the basis for comparison. As for me Honda is no go area. For the mere fact that you will sell 1million Toyota before selling 50 honda cars is enough food for thought for me. Toyota second value is no match to any other car in Nigeria.
