Even China with 1.4 billion people has 55 ethnic groups. The largest( Han Chinese) make 92 percent of the country. What about Japan, Singapore, Korea and so on? How can we see this fact and choose to look the other way? Why can't we practise this?

Also, you can't compare America to Croatia due to many reasons. America is a country of immigrants. Ethnicity is determined by skin color and not native language or culture.
