If the Allocation alone is enough to pay salaries and maybe do one or two projects am sure most Governors won’t owe more than 2months max!
The incoming governor probably has an idea of the civil servants strength in EKITI and also its monthly allocation in a few weeks it will know the strength of its IGR and also its debt status .
So for anyone to even suggest EKITI state pay up 7 months salary owed instantly’ that’s stupendously impossible neithe is it viable or mathematically possible . Anyone without biased mind or any party sentiments should know this .
It’s not Rocket science .

Lol maybe you should read again.. am not in support of Government owing salaries. My argument is : with the allocation EKITI gets monthly and it’s IGR , it is mathematically impossible for an incoming Governor or even the present one to pay 7months salary immediately.
EKITI civil servant bill is almost 2billion and they get a little over 2billion monthly and I doubt EKITI generates 1billion monthly as Internal genearated revenue so am wondering why you would expect the incoming Governor to promise he will pay the 7months owed salary as soon as he is sworn in!!!!

He said he will in 6 months that’s still viable but Future leaders of Tomorrow like you would still consume him a month after he is sworn in if he had promised to offset the salary as soon as he resumes office but can not .
The truth is bitter every civil servant in EKITI knows he can’t pay their 7months salary immediately and am sure they were not expecting him to make a promise of paying instantly cos that would be a pure Lie ...

All the same am not in support of any politician owning salaries it’s not a good things and it never will be irrespective of the reason they might have . I was only responding to your post but I guess you did not really get the message .

well.. you maybe right, but my concern isn't if the Alocation is there or were it will come from or how long it will take, my concern is why were workers owed in the first place? and if he can not pay workers in the near future or ASAP why make the promise?
