DATING IS NOT TRADING Let’s clear some of the major misconceptions about dating. The art of dating means studying someone you have seen as a potential for marriage. This process is very important and acts as the foundation of relationships which lead to marriage. Again, because some people are not real and can change after a time, dating offers you the opportunity to do your own background checks, investigation, questioning and interviews just to make sure you are with the right person. This is not trading or an activity of buying and selling goods and services. This is not a profit-making venture. Ladies, anytime you agree to date anyone, please bear in mind you are studying the man for marriage; you are not trading your body for money. The young man is not responsible for your upkeep, school fees or feeding money; however if he wants to offer help, please ask about the hidden charges or the terms and conditions. Your love is not for sale so you should not entertain any form of bidding, buying or trading. One thing about money is that, it can make anybody look real. Yes! Fake people can shower money on you to make you think they are real. As a lady, you should be open and honest with the man you are dealing with as well as with yourself; know what is good for you and what is bad for you. Know what you want and be willing to do what it takes to get it, rather than using men for that in the name of dating. Stick to the little you have, be content with that and work on getting your own bread rather than waiting to be fed. Being beautiful outside is not enough, being honest makes you more attractive. You should also be a real goal getter, for such a lady doesn't stress about what or how much a man has; she is working on her own and only thinks about what the two can build together in the future not what she can gain or get from her relationship with a man. Men, if you are going to treat dating as trading then please remember sex is the price for how much you spend on her. To her, after giving sex, she has done her part of the bargain. Having sex with her or providing for her doesn't mean you own her. You are just customers or business partners trading butts and wallet. If you don't want such a relationship, then don't start it. The fact that you bought a phone for her doesn't mean she can't speak to any other male on it. The fact that you rented an apartment for her doesn't mean she can't accommodate other unknown cousins. Remember you are just business partners and she has the right to do business with others too. The fact that you have the password to her social media doesn't mean you are winning, for not all transactions take place there. Serious business minded people know how to keep their trade secrets. After painting this picture to you, I am very sure, you know what you want and will go for that. If it is dating you want, the aim is to find the one who will watch every sunrise with you until the sunset of your life. In conclusion, if all your focus is money, the bible cautions "For the love of money is the first step toward all kinds of sin. Some people have even turned away from God because of their love for it, and as a result have pierced themselves with many sorrows" - 1 Timothy 6:10 (TLB). |

@Opeolami this is what happens in the REAL world, but as we all know that the majority of Nigerian women value their men SOLELY on their financial capabilities, then it is a no-brainer that these women will want to make sure that, in dating, such man should show his financial strength. i dont blame these deluded women for having such a failed mindset, i blame Nigerian MEN for going along with this rubbish. a man's character is ALL what they need to show, and if it is proper (and compatible with what the babe desires) then so be it. sadly, in this harsh economy, more women are viewing dating as just another means to get out of poverty. as for what you wrote below: Opeolami:i suggest you go tell that to all the churches around Africa who are quick to ask for MONEY every weekend, even to those who have none! |

You are right bro but our mind must be reposition for a better relationship that we lead to a successful marriage and not a failed marriage. The word of God is not for churches but for us, individuals or collective. it is profitable for teaching and corrections not compelling. One love bro! |
