Yes comprehensive mathematics is self explanatory and concise.I used it when I was preparing for waec . Unlike general mathematics that is cumbersome.

As a teacher that teaches maths from JSS1 to SSS3, i will advice you use New General Mathematics.... Simple and easy to understand.... Even it can be study by a student without a teacher

Go for Hidden facts. Kakaraaka. Its like a manual. Step by step broken down. Can be easily understood evn without a tutor around.

go and buy tonad series and work the year from 1990-1995 then 2000-2018 thank me later no way u no go pass... best text book is still new general maths they have enough examples to justify your effort

(2) Finite mathematics and application( purely based on fundamental of matrices) by GOODMAN & RATTI . (3) THOMAS calculus , thirteenth edition. It will serve as best foundation in any maths related courses and you must definitely be the best among your peers in the uni.

Get New general mathematics for beginers, comprehensive is good for addendum, but exam focus is the best for an excellent student who just wants to summarize, run away from essential maths, the format is poor and most of their questions are not relevant, long live all the furthermathematics text book most especially Furthermaths project. Success to all maths teachers who are not tired of teaching those students who themselves are no longer willing to learn again in Nigeria but always looking for short cut to success.

I don't have the picture of the hidden facts,but it has an orange cover though.It can be very effective when you are maths olodo.Even Stroud and the new school.

All the text books listed above are good. Hidden facts must be a recent text though.

What is his/ her mission? Is it to JUST pass or to FOREVER know the the thinking behind mathematics?

My brother since I start dating Comprehensive mathematics I overtook all the gurus in my class except for one witch girl like this though we became of friends and ruled the class all through.

But the problem is not the text, am a maths teacher and as a teacher u have to make internet ur friend and be updated regularly and see maths problems from the perspectives of other students and teachers all over the world, the textbook is just a guide
