Bros, it seems the oracle is saying that your NOC is 4163 Business development officers and marketing researchers and consultants o. Not 0122. I am still in consultation sha. But I can hear the voice clearly in my left ear.

You still need to trim it down though. Don't allow your VO to vex because of eye ache.
ADEBOSUN:
Long post alert!

@Newmum0615 and other elders in the house. Please help review to confirm appropriate noc. I am considering 0122

Hello house. Am currently studying for IELTS. I try to practice at least 2 listening tests daily (I use ieltsonlinetests.com and Cambridge IELTS 12).
Am getting very concerned now. Never gotten up to a 36 (am always within the 28-32 band), in all my practice. How did you all do it?

Pls what could I be doing wrong. Can anyone point me to a good study material, so I can improve. Kindly assist. Thanks in advance.

I can relate,do not lose focus, all you needed in writing is to give real life examples. For eg,while discussing on good road network, you should use a real life eg. Abuja has a good road network when compared to Lagos and as a result, have limited road traffic.London has the best subway in the world and this makes movement faster.

Try to give at least 2 egs in your essay

I'm really sad right now with what IELTS is doing to me

1st attempt: 8.5,8.5,6.5,7.0 (LRWS) BC - Requested for EOR but no luck
2nd attempt:8.5,8.5,6.5,7.0 (LRWS) MOD - Requested for EOR but no luck with writing but speaking to 7.5
3rd attempt: 8.5,8.0,6.5,7.5 (LRWS) MOD - I'm thinking of another EOR

This is exhausting but i'm not giving up.

They said "one man food is another man poison", my wife wrote IELTS BC 3 times and made 6.5. Her first attempt with MOD came out 7.5. Lets say may be she improved.

Utonne:

So sorry. I know exactly how you feel. This was me last week Friday. Results are somewhat similar except I had 8.5 in speaking. I requested for an EOR instantly. Pls go ahead and do so. The MOD Australia email address is idpieltsaustralia@idp.com.

People please stay away from IDP. Their writing grades are ridiculous.

Optometry is a professional degree according to IRCC.
Ethelia:

I don't think there is any special body for evaluating optometry degrees (unlike medical and pharmacy degrees), so your friend is free to use WES, IQAS, CES, etc.
As for equivalency, its likely to be bachelors degree undecided

I think you are on the right route.

Keep at it...that's the trick...consistency of practice, soon you'll get a grip of it and your practice score will come up on the average. Just be focused and keep keeping at it daily.

During my time, I did 2/3 hours everyday after close of work (I stay back in the office, everywhere quiet and my earphones on) for almost a month. With time, nobody will tell you, you will know that you are getting a hang of the "ish"...also, your weak areas will increasingly become evident to you as you practice different types of questions and you'll need to devise your own strategy to address those weak areas in time for the test (Cos you can't get ready 100% overall- ie be test ready and gotten all weak areas eliminated), if you feel ready 80-90%, then you are good to go!

By the way (BTW), how long have you been doing your daily dose of Listening practices? I'll suggest you keep at it for a while though! (Listening was my headache too, so I can understand your plight grin grin, but God did it with dint of focus and hardwork)

It will all end in praise IJN!

The two materials you are using are good.
You should check your spellings too. Even if you hear all the conversation, writing a wrong spelling of a word will make you loose marks.
The greatest tool for listening practice according to me is to concentrate 100%. .

Any of the evaluating bodies should evaluate it as a Professional Degree.
Lawyers have issues with WES evaluating some law degree as Professional degree so i'll advise you to go with IQAS.
I will advise you to use the search bar here to find optometry ECA etc. to get a live example.
Meanwhile, see below: -

medicine,
veterinary medicine,
dentistry,
optometry,
law,
chiropractic medicine, or
pharmacy."

I keep wondering why they don't want to make Engineering a professional degree too cry All these courses listed here would require licensing before practice right? And so does Engineering. Make I collect PPR first, I go start the movement. cheesy

can i open an express entry profile or should i hang on till my ECA lands.my IELTS is ready and WES says it will be completed on 8/8/18. Current CRS score is 462. my birthday is in September.
With a projected score of 462, If I were you; I will wait for ECA to come out. Furthermore, you need ECA number to enter pool. While not trying tying up other docs that will be needed till tour ECA comes out. With that score, you are certain of ITA in the next draw. Best of Luck.

@deboks: please how did you apply for transcript (Law-ABSU)? What do I need to do? and did you use WES or IQAS for ECA? I dey your back, I hope to tell you congrats in the nearest future.
To all PPR winners, congrats and as is the slogan here: IT WILL ALL END IN PRAISE!

Hello everyone. just joined this great platform of Nigerians helping one another. Its a beautiful thing to witness. so far i have written my IELTS L/R/S/W 9/8/8/7. ECA had been a battle. i was told to evaluate all my credentials. i studied law first degree and did and MSC in conflict Management. so this wrong info from a friend lead me down the "money spending & time consuming road " of obtaining and send transcript and then verification from three insitutions. ABSU, Law School ( Abj) and UniJos. form reading post on tbis platform i wish i had known better or was better infromed. i wouldnt have wasted all this time and money. Good news is my ECA is finally expected on the 8/8/18. lesson learned, i will stick to this platform for legit info.
finally congrats to all those who have PPR ...it has been inspiring to read through your journey!

I have even had cause to search IQAS website to know what they evaluate engineering degree as. It's says Bachelor's Degree. I agree too that, engineering should be a professional degree.
