This depends on you. University of Duisburg Essen will give you admission without knowledge of German and provide you with a list of schools you can learn German when you arrive Deutschland.
Hence you can secure university admission, register for the language school and also port to Deutschland to learn the language before resuming. In This case previous knowledge of German is not necessary so if you learn it here fine but It’s very expensive learning it there.
Hence You will only need to carry your language acceptance letter as well as your admission letter when going to the embassy for interview.

In compliance to our norm, here is my transcript:
Went for interview today, got there around 6, was on the queue till 7 or so. Got ushered into the embassy and was at the reception till 8.10am. Finally was interview and it didn't last more than 15 mins.
Here are some questions I was asked:
-Type of visa
- intended School
- reasons for choosing the course
-BA or SL
-Who is sponsoring
-when I'm blocking
- first degree and institution
- title of thesis
-nysc status: location and ppa
-facts about Germany
-why Germany not uk, us and others
-plan after study

*bits of advice:
- address ur motivation letter to the embassy
- make sure u get everything u need before going to the embassy(got 3 blank A4 sheets for N500)
-be calm and prepare well
-Paulinus is real- be bold regardless of what he says or does

1. Yes and No. Depends on your city and how much of your education and good grades you willing to sacrifice. My Ogas no better sha.

2. Don't really know much about that.

3. The other option is to go to cities that don't really require you having another 8640 for the second zyear. I found out from a friend in my school that I don't need to have another 8640 the next year for my RP to be renewed. Another galfriend of mine in another state is expected to show just half that amount. This type of conditions are mostly found in small cities and towns.

Upload the original documents on the online portal, you don't need to certify to do this. But when its time to send physical copy via post, then you'll need to certify the photocopies.

For the requirements, if you had read the beginning of this thread, you would have found more than enough information. You have to do your research on your own. (Dailydolar would have responded and said check google.com )

Requirements depends on the school but the general documents you would require is

Waec result
transcript
English language certifcate (IELTS or TOEL Note: It depends on the school)
English proficiency letter
School certificate (Secondary and Uni) These requirements still depends on what your school wants.

Go find a school and search for their requirements. Most of us here had spend hours online searching for schools. I'll advise you to do the same. Everybody here is not that nice to spoon feed you (No offence intended)

Thanks so much, I have gone to daad. my worries is I just finished my secondary school so i dont know if that is sufficient enough as i am still waiting for post jamb in UI and even Ui is not resuming till next year April that is why i want to apply next year. Just thinking if i can be admitted without the first year transcript or has anybody being admitted straight to the university in Germany or any preliminary course before the university in Germany.

Please another question.. As we all know, most of us cant easily afford the blocked account and may have to use our entire savings to pay for that one year. This means that the next year will be funded by either what you are able to save up from the hours of work allowed in Germany or if you have people that can send you money. Now my question please:

1) Is the "120 days of full time work" allowed enough to fund the second year of blocked account?
2) I read that they do not even allow using online work to supplement your income..Do this mean you can't do freelance work or trade binary options or forex?
3) What other options do people that make it to Germany have for coping with this second year especially as we all know that getting that part time job isnt easy?

A work contract also works fine.... (if you get a job)

N.B This is city dependent and the kind of circles you keep. You can get friends to loan you money (so far you not blocking) for one of two weeks... you only need statement of account (s) to show the Ausländerbehorde for extension... You need to be smart with this... no loop hole

It’s always adviced to open another Acct for such or better still get money by hand.. (international students are not allowed to do most freelance job) and even if you get permission to do it then you pay Tax at the end of the year... and you know tax evasion is a serious crime here.

I saw it during my research on one of the university websites. They didn't mention online specifically though. They only said freelance.

So anyone that does online business must pay tax.. Anyways that shouldn't be much of a problem as long as they even allow you to do the online business as a student.

If your admission was issued be angelika kolwoski in the international students office. Send her a mail seeking for extension of enrollment deadline and she will reply.

I did that when i was having difficulty securing an interview date and mine was extended to 30th October. Although i don't need it again as i got August 23 interview date.
