He was actually making a video of the airport and when asked to stop he lied and said he was making a video of himself and live streaming it.

The people who spoke to him were airport security personnel who probably had a security issue at the point and asked him politely initially to stop but he became unusually sturborn and forced them to shove him a bit then he switched the screen and attempted to catch their ID cards and names on the video.

Nigerians should learn to first obey set authority. Yes anybody can make a video while on the tarmac but perhaps that day was an exception.

Nigeria is experiencing some security issues at these times so nobody knows who might be an informant.

Imagine making a video of the tarmac and passing it on to terrorists or bad people as video proof of the parts of the tarmac with security lapses or through one can easily gain access to the tarmac and once one gains access to the tarmac then anything can be planted on planes.

He was just being unnecessarily unruly.

So to you Sowore is an informant. SMH
Thats the problem with this shithole. People do things for the sake of doing things. They cant point to any tangible result that action brpught about. There are security issues. Are they the police? no. What steps have been taken to tackle the security challenges ? None. But a man who is well known whom the DSS are definitely observing ( I beleive they should) is the one who is now the security challenge. Same way the average shithole soldier will be beating civilians for wearing camo saying its for security reasons meanwhile the real criminals are there rocking camo to commit mischief and even showing off. I'm still trying to understand how being president can overwhelm someone who is better equipped for the office (in all aspects by the way) than Buhari, if Buhari himself thinks he can still run for a second term. Donald Trump, in charge of over 300 million people, still finds the time to go golfing so what will be overwhelming about running Nigeria if you have a good cabinet and each member handles their responsibilities as expected?

Oga mi, was he live-streaming from any barracks? This is a public airport, otherwise he wouldn't be allowed access to start with.

If those airport staff could go this far, because of the hi-viz vests they were putting on, imagine how quickly the situation would've escalated if they had arms.

I personally don't see the 'uncouthness' from him in the video. He asked for any official proof that it is wrong to live-stream within the airport and they couldn't produce any. They talked about calling their boss and the CSO but none of that happened.

If boko haram needs an elaborate video of the airport, they can get (in 4k quality sef) from the herdsmen who take their cattle to graze in the airport.

I don't see how fighting for one's right translates to making hasty decisions though, but to each his own.

Our problem in Nigeria is lack of education and Stupidity. Also, things are not clearly defined and since law enforcement collects bribes or do clear favoritism which we all encourage anyways, all these things will go on. Now lets look at this matter critically, that is the tarmac, i have been in so many countries, if for any reason you disembark from the tarmac in any airport all over the world, there are security everywhere directing you to the interior of the airport. You can film/video etc the arrival/departure/baggage claim areas, these are all public areas but not the tarmac and runways without permission. Now, law enforcement is telling him to stop and move and he is saying do not touch me and arguing with them. Can he try that in the USA where he is based? if you refuse to obey, you are arrested period. In this case. Sowore is wrong. We ourselves are always causing wahala, this guy tells you to move and that you cannot video here and all you have to do is ask to speak with a superior officer or something to ask permission.
