I nr fit talk jare, gsmarena trashy endurance rating . Imagine saying the Mi 5 out outperforms Redmi 5. People don't understand that a buggy rom will likely give you a poor result. Many times Gsmarena run reviews on Shop roms too. Again the average Nigerian tend to believe foreigners more in virtually everything, won't blame us though, many times we have betrayed ourselves even for free. If you check Gsmarena's review of the Redmi note 4SD, they said it takes over 4 hours to completely charge the device. I remembered telling someone here that it's not true, because mine took 2.5 hours approximately, but you know who people chose to believe.

I made the same observation, however, my research on gsm arena shows that Mi5 has a 92h rating while redmi 5 with SD 450 + 3300mah is behind at 83h battery life on their endurance test.

In fact, i was worried that it may not support OTG, i watched it on youtube supporting OTG. I doubted most of its features for being a 2016 phone, but a comment i read somewhere said "its an old phone but very decent in comparison to what is obtainable today." I did my research on the phone for almost a month and came here for conclusion on the day i planned to order. Xiaomi has promised Android 8.0 for it. The beta is already out.

Please make your research and compare it to the Note 5 suggested here and tell me which wins.

Maybe use it for a month and tell us how your experience is. Experience is truly the best teacher uno.

I can't seem to restore my contacts from Google to the phone, under the sync option In settings, under Google, the sync contacts option isn't there..
I need a way out of this predicament.

Did you download the Google installer from the mi store?If no, do and Grant the contact sync app all the necessary permissions.

1. I want to pay with my atm card, and I noticed I can pay in dollars though there was also an option of paying in Naira. I would prefer paying in dollars because converting the amount charged to Naira is much higher than when I pay in dollars.
2. The shipping options presented to me for getting the phone is SIGNPOST (REGISTERED AIRMAIL), are their services okay and do the deliver as expected?
3. The other items I want order will be shipped via NETHERLANDS REGISTERED (REGISTERED AIRMAIL), also do they deliver items as expected without issues?
4. Lastly, will the items be delivered to my doorstep (the address I provided) and do I need to pay customs and the likes?

I dunno what the problem is.
I just know my contacts are nowhere to be found and I can't sync em.
The contact sync option is noticeably absent.

It is a separate app on its own,look for it under your apps setting.

Since it's a new phone and Chinese Version, I'd advise you factory reset the phone, install Google Installer and allow all permissions.

Tip- Use Google drive for downloads, if the ROM is uploaded or mirrored on GDrive... Use that. For movies TFPDL uploads on GDrive. It's always faster

It doesn't matter if you change the currency to € or $, the amount deducted would be based on the exchange rate of your bank.
