Take home? ........... uncertainty.
Paying rental of N35k means you must have 5k aside daily for that.
Making anything below 15k daily means there's most likely to be a problem btw you and your partner.
5k- partner
3-4k - fuel
(--)- ursef
So fill in the bracket to know your take home wch depends on luck most time plus how much you work

Instead of Uber to look for riders they are advertising how female riders can hook up with their drivers.
When you don't know what to do again.

The mechanic I use officially is pretty good. I met him personally few months ago ..he is highly educated young man . So I don't have issues with him .. And also on my part I make I use full synethic USA spec Mobil 1 oil on my cars .. This will help reduce stories that touch... and also the elantra engine is a very strong engine, just make sure u take care of it ..everything like bushings, linkages, shocks, ball joint etc are easy things that a mechanic can diagnosis...
But once a the engine starts messing up ...it will now be a mechanic's play ground.. I don't care how good a mechanic is ,once they start messing with the engine, the engine will never be the same .. Uber partners need to use the rite engine oil on their cars...
And also I pray that my transmission don't pack up on me ..the reason is every car uses specific transmission fluid, which is specifically reccomended by the manufacture... and honestly I just go with my mechanic advice on that. Maybe I should start importing my own transmission fluid..
And also learning from nairaland, I realise that it is better to use coolant instead of water in your radatior .. Water will cause rust and the radiator will start leaking in due time... so people with these simple preventive measures, why can't we abide by it to avoid been then mechanic best friend or better yet avoid coming to nairaland to ask for a cars diagnosis? The Nigeria way will always be na naija we dey ,we go manage am like that.. It is a corolla very strong car ,the car can take abuse etc.. Until the car finally packs up ..smh

Please can you recommend a good rewire for me urgent. thanks

Hello House,

My car d light is blinking, car does not move forward, car will only move in reverse gear.
i have called a rewire person, says i need to buy a new gear box or alternatively they can rebuild the gear box (whatever that means)
I asked for the error code, he was not forth coming.
Could he be absolutely right or just trying to make more money.
What is the best way to approach this issue or trouble shoot, i have read online that the issue may be with pressure sensors or solenoids
urgent advice needed

@Gazzuzz

Hello please can anybody recommend a good auto workshop, where i can have the transmission issue checked out.

I must be sincere with you about this work, it is not easy. I own my car and drive it but set a target for each day. Which is to wake up by 4 a.m daily, set out by 5 a.m. but the problem I have with my area is that it might take till 6 a.m before getting a request, and may not get any requests.
But I always move towards ilupeju, yaba, ebute-meta surulere in the morning most time (with the app on) hoping to get requests along the way. The reason for doing this very early before 6a.m is to avoid me wasting unnecessary time in traffic that builds up on iyana ipaja- cement road should in case I don't get request on time and need to move to sure areas. Those places I mentioned are certain with lesser waiting.
But people that start work from busy places are always lucky.
This is where I am going to. Do everything to Avoid reduction of cancellation, acceptance, activity rate. Maintaining atleast 95% of each gives you an edge over others within your vicinity. Then you are sure of having lesser waiting time which means more income with luck above all.

I do pity drivers on rentals. I see them most time in groups of 4s with their offices(phones) on their hands. Or will they force riders to request. Yet bill gate will still condemn them as lazy youths.
Bill gate should try to hit the market for once (even if he has paid his dues) to see how it is in the field.
I can see why GAZZUZZ gave accolades to drivers after he drove for 12hrs on Uber the other day.
I am not ready to shake any table abeg.

Why fucking up, let your vehicle be the first car to move around on reverse on the whole Lagos.
Then Guinness record is waiting for you.

That deal is not that good for you especially for a beginner like you, 35k weekly remmitance is realistic, owner should be the one to responsible for car maintenance or better still you agree to expenses below 5k and owner take care of expenses above 5k, because there are still some expenses you will have to cover like fuel, card for calling and data, eating, tyre gauging, etc and it might be difficult for you at first being the beginner.
Just check the car very well to know if it's in good condition for the business, don't desperately run into agreement or bad car, then try and work hard and smart, you will be fine as times goes on. Goodluck

;Dru ,why do u always feel and insinuate as if ur the only one that can buy tokunbo car, u talk down on ur fellow partners too much . I know u hv some cars with u that hv been in naija for more than 6months ,is that one still tokunbo? As far as I'm concerned, all ur cars are naija used immediately its used on our bad roads

You dey on point o ..better to drive a tokunbo for few months and hopefully you would have save money aside and join it with whatever u had save previously and buy your tokunbo.. It is highly durable that way ....but the question remain is do we any or how many partners are actually buying tokunbo cars for uber?
