Funny enough we dont know the amount of people leaving the business now ..you can't just come to the conclusion that everyone is doing uber o ,what about the amount of people withdrawing their cars? Can we get data on those ones too.. At the end of the day, maintenance is what will decide who will last on the business

Are u aware that some people will make 35k for one week, and the nxt week will than spend that money on repairs ..how long can person continue doing this.. So people are also pulling out. Look at the raining season, do you know how many owners gave up ? And sold their cars. Mechanic today, mechanic 2morrow , also drivers will do their own nonsense, fleet coy managers will do their own too ...

AT THE END OF THE DAY E-HAILING BUSINESS WILL AND ALWAYS BE A REVOLVING DOOR TYPE BUSINESS.. Just like going into the banking hall ..people come and go ,nobody goes to bank and sleep there nay ?

The day your mechanic knows you are using your car for uber or taxify businesss... that is the day you have entered into an unsigned partnership agreement with you mechanic. He would never do predictive/preventive maintenance on your vehicle, even when he should advice, he just plays dumb, waiting for the massive damage to be done, so that he can continue the unsigned partnership agreement. Never tell you mechanic that you are using your car for uber services... they actually assume you take home N100k net a week and you expect them to be satisfied with just payment for servicing your car.

Tracker page: https://mymoto.com.ng/product/vehicle-car-pickup-commercial-trucks-gps-tracker-h02-tracker-nigerian-configured/
Office Location: 3-9 Olu Koleosho Street, Off Medical Road, Ikeja, Lagos

WHY DOES YOUR CAR NEED MYMOTO TRACKER

(1) Security: While anti-theft systems like push-buttons before car start, gear lock, pedal locks etc… are good, ONLY A TRACKING SYSTEM LIKE OURS ALLOWS YOU TO RECOVER (AND ALSO PROTECT) YOUR VEHICLE IF YOUR CAR IS HIJACKED FROM YOU WHILE DRIVING. Our trackers are both anti-theft and recovery in nature. e.g. You should shutdown your car before you sleep at night or park in a public space. Whenever you need to start the car, you enable it also.

(2) Remote Monitoring: GPS Security trackers allows you to monitor your vehicle location remotely from your phone. You are able to view your car’s location in real time (from our IOS/ANDROID APPS).

(3) Vehicle History: Through our online platform (IOS/ANDROID APPS) , you can view where your car had been between DAY X and DAY Y. A plot is shown on a map showing your car’s movement over this period of time.

(4) Remotely Stop Your Car: With our security GPS tracker, you are able to stop your car from ANY PHONE with an sms command. This function can also be carried out through our online platforms.

(5) Geo-Fencing Alarm:If your car goes beyond set a radius (or multi-point), say Lagos, you will be notified by sms.

(6) Other alarms (Over-speed Alarm, Ignition On Alarm, Low Battery Alarm ): Over-speed alarms notifies you via sms when your car goes beyond a particular speed. Ignition on notifies you WHENEVER your car is started. Low Battery Alarm lets you know when your car battery is low.

(7) Daily Mileage report (online platform): Daily mileage report shows you a daily chart (in KM) of your car.

We have heard of one or two expereience of how clients were able to recover their vehicles BECAUSE THEY HAD A TRACKER INSTALLED IN IT. We will be sharing some of them with you based on TRUE LIFE EXPERIENCES.

If you have had personal experiences also, kindly share with us.

Story 1
During one of our installs, the client shared with us how Mr Ayo (not his real name) borrowed his brothers car, and waylaid in the night somewhere in Lagos. Unknown to the thieves, the car had a tracker in it. That same night they tracked the vehicle to a military baracks (apparenntly the thieves had accomplices with military connections). They went with the police and they were able to recover the car (THE DEMOBILIZE FUNCTION OF THE TRACKER WAS USED TO ENSURE THE CAR DID NOT MOVE UNTIL THEY GOT TO THAT LOCATION)...

Story 2
Mr Bayo was bout entering his car in the night somewhere in Lagos when he was attacked. He immediately used his phone to demobilize the car some minutes after they had zoomed away with the car. The thieves ran away when they discovered the car wasn't strating again. The car was tracked to Ajah. Apparently the thieves ran away in fear with the keys of the car grin

Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by IWealthCreator: 12:43pm On Jul 26, 2018
Hello House,

I think it is unfair for Taxify to subject lite and comfort users to the same bonus or reward scheme.
We know that 99.5% of riders are price sensitive, some would not mind waiting 2hours for a taxify lite instead of boarding a taxify comfort that is 2 mins away!
Taxify lite drivers get more riders so get the bonuses, it seems like double punishment for comfort drivers, less riders and minimal chance of getting taxify bonus reward.
I hope taxify would address this anomaly.

The mechanic I use officially is pretty good. I met him personally few months ago ..he is highly educated young man . So I don't have issues with him .. And also on my part I make I use full synethic USA spec Mobil 1 oil on my cars .. This will help reduce stories that touch... and also the elantra engine is a very strong engine, just make sure u take care of it ..everything like bushings, linkages, shocks, ball joint etc are easy things that a mechanic can diagnosis...
But once a the engine starts messing up ...it will now be a mechanic's play ground.. I don't care how good a mechanic is ,once they start messing with the engine, the engine will never be the same .. Uber partners need to use the rite engine oil on their cars...
And also I pray that my transmission don't pack up on me ..the reason is every car uses specific transmission fluid, which is specifically reccomended by the manufacture... and honestly I just go with my mechanic advice on that. Maybe I should start importing my own transmission fluid..
And also learning from nairaland, I realise that it is better to use coolant instead of water in your radatior .. Water will cause rust and the radiator will start leaking in due time... so people with these simple preventive measures, why can't we abide by it to avoid been then mechanic best friend or better yet avoid coming to nairaland to ask for a cars diagnosis? The Nigeria way will always be na naija we dey ,we go manage am like that.. It is a corolla very strong car ,the car can take abuse etc.. Until the car finally packs up ..smh

Pele, you wan enter a cast business delivering 25k weekly. Where would the money come from? Your pocket or the cast business?

What about offering 15k weekly so you wouldn't quickly exhaust your save up money for rental payment weekly?

I am glad Chillex.8 don serve you chilled drink?

Anyway, I feel you some car owners would be okay with a 25k weekly rental payment but the question is would you be able to meet the terms and conditions?

If I were u, I will pay assurance deposit and take a tokunbo car on rental. Pls don't attempt any Nigerian used car for the purpose of e hailing. Be it rental or HP.

Drive on rental for months till u can save up for a tokunbo car of your own.

I repeat, don't attempt any Nigerian Used car for E-hailing.

I know they will come for my head.

We agree to diss- agree

You dey on point o ..better to drive a tokunbo for few months and hopefully you would have save money aside and join it with whatever u had save previously and buy your tokunbo.. It is highly durable that way ....but the question remain is do we any or how many partners are actually buying tokunbo cars for uber?

Em na boss. Lol

All drivers that ve won driver of the weeks sef no do 100trips a week. It has always been average of 75trips to 80trips per week.

Taxify no just won give that bonus. Make them try reduce to 70trips and some drivers can get it

Besides, the jacket is for 10 days fa! If Taxify can give me 10 trips daily with me staying online for 10hours daily. I should be able to get it. But even that yesterday wey I hustle make 20k gross 5k fuel inclusive which I exhausted , I got only 8 long trips staying 14 hrs 30mins plus
Can you check how many trips you did from Friday to d next Sunday for the past two three weeks? Then you will know if you can meet up. I checked mine and i discovered that i did average of 90 trips. So that means 100 trips is possible.
Guys let's know that nothing come free in this country. We have to work to get what we want. 40k in ten days is more than a week delivery. Is it not better to deny yourself some sleeps and secure your next week remittance. You can now take three days off and rest. The remaining four days earnings will be in your pocket.
But if you drive your car, you don't need the bonus.

Is there something I need to do? This Uber is difficult to activate oooo. How many drivers do you think have been disabled by Uber? As they claim to be over 3K?
There is sometimes an overlap or disparity in the texts they send people and their system's operations, however it means your documents will Soon be approved.
Yes, Uber is a bit difficult to activate. Exactly why I wrote a Guide to Uber, and not Taxify.
The stats are anybody's guess. Only Uber knows for sure

Hello house

I'm about picking up a car on rental of 35k weekly.

As a driver on rentals, after all expense, how much is realistic for my own take home?
