Thanks @Frankrobbn and @@Jnyuwa02 for your contributions.

By the 3rd week of August, my application would be 9 weeks.
I am praying for an approval before then.

My God is able. But if by then if I have not heard from them, then I will send an email.

goingforward.

Let it be done to you according to your faith.

Can anyone help me out here - do I need to attach my SoA (is it a must kinda thingy?), when my sponsor has got sufficient amount in his bank account. I'm thinking my sponsor's SoA is enough for my application. Please does anyone think otherwise?

I do not think it is necessary for you to submit your SOA if your sponsor has sufficient fund and you are submitting his SOA. But, you can submit your SOA/pay slip to reveal your monthly pay if you have work experience or still working just to boost your claim.

I hope this helps.

Good day all, I'm new here and I would like to know my chance of getting admission into MUN or U of Manitoba with a CGPA of 3.65/5.0 but the average GPA of my last two years of undergraduate study is 4.3/5.0. Thank you

My profile was updated few days after sending messages to CIC informing her that my application have exceeded the normal processing time. Kindly note that when i applied the processing time was 6 weeks but i sent the message when it was close to 9 weeks. The processing time is currently 9 weeks, so i would advise you send them message after 3rd of August informing them that your application has exceeded the 9 weeks PT as at when you applied.
Normally one would expect that final decision is reached quickly without delay because you are reapplying, but this is not always the case when it comes to online application. Someone recently shared her experience here where her 2nd online application was approved in 3 months, also we i read the messages of some applicants who reapplied via paper routes and got approvals within 3-4weeks.

All you need right now is to douse down all tensions, be optimistic and seek God's favour.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the insight,

I believe your TRV would have been approved.. Did you do upfront medical or it was after you send them mail they now ask you to go do madical. In our own case no medical call yet

Just thinking

No... It was refused. I did upfront medical and resubmitted same medical result for second application.
Hope you requested for your GCMS note and properly reviewed it before reapplying to block previous loopholes. Like I said earlier, When it comes to paper application delay is normal. Since you did not do upfront medical I would advise not to message them so soon as it might read desperation. The gurus can advise you better on this.

I hope this helps.

I think this is a good idea. There is someone with the moniker "Lemia" whose application was approved and his medical status was never updated until he was approved.

CIC never stated on their website that upfront medical status has to be updated soon after applying. At their own discretion, they could decide to review the applicant's eligibility and go through background checks before updating medical status.

So personally, I don't think it's a good idea to send an email instructing them to update your medical when your application is still within processing times.

@kylexy61, i think you did justice to this.

Another point to add is that, we all don't know how these guys work. For instance, on a scale of ten (10), Medical can be on number 8. So you send a mail to a VO, to jump nos 1-7, just to update your medical which is on number 8? I think we all need to be patient. There is a processing time, wait. If nothing happens, you are free to send a mail. My profile was not updated until the 8th week (the processing time as at then), although i applied when it was 6 weeks. We all need to be calm and focus on other things. What i see these days are applicants that will apply and get a notification, they won't take time to read and understand the message, the next thing is "please i got this message ---------, can anyone interpret". You applied Jun 24th and you are desperate for approval/ update, can't you see that the recent approvals are for people that applied in May? Except you want the kind of responses some June applicants have gotten which is a refusal, Just keep calm and pray that the outcome of your application is positive. Everyone will get a response before the end of August and i pray we all get a positive one.
Oya go back to work and get busy.

Success to all

It took like 7 working days. I called children practice where i did my medical though, they said it was sent. That i should come back for redocumentation for them to send it again, which would have costed me 14k.

Remember to start your mail's subject with !URGENT! Information Concerning Medical Request

@jnyuwa02 pls am curious i am resident in the Uk but came to Nigeria 2days ago....do l need to do medicals here in Nigeria as i saw on CIC website if u not resident in Nigeria for 6months and above u are excluded from doing medicals. Pls kindly revert. Thanks.

jnyuwa02:

If you don’t have citizenship, student or resident status in the UK, you have to come back to Nigeria and apply. As one sacrificial lamb proved last year, if you apply without these, you would be rejected based on status in country of application.

I checked with xe.com, I saw 23K sth. You know sometimes some establishments do their own thing. Eg different rates with different banks.

Very valid points bro. One important thing to note also about sending unnecessary emails to CIC when an application has not exceeded the stipulated processing time is that it is noted in the applicant's GCMS file which is detrimental during a case review. I believe nobody would want a file note with any instance of desperation recorded especially when they have provided all that is to be expected and processing time has not been exceeded. Folks with applications within the stipulated processing time need to be patient and be positive about the outcome.

The routine and processing of an application is more to what we all assume and predict. The could be delay for various reasons but one thing is always certain, as long as you applied, they will revert back to you.

I hope you have found a solution, but if you have not. I made a mistake in my visiting visa application, i put in my old/expired passport number. I sent a mail to them explaining the situation and the correct one. They acknowledged and after a few days, they sent me an update in my application with a new application number.

But if VFS told you it's okay, then i think it's okay because they could have corrected it before the biometrics.

Hadastextiles:
Good evening friends
Pls I made a typographical error on the applicant name while filling the online form last week. I was called for my biometrics the next day and I was a bit delayed cos d name on the biometric letter didn't tally with d one on the passport. After awhile I was attended to and after I finished the biometrics I asked if der won't be any Problem and dey sed nop.
Please house, is der a form to fill or nytin I can do to rectify the issue?
Thanks
