I just laughed at people calling the programme scam and all sort of rubbish names. Please, tell me the empowerment programme that PDP did during their time that was transparent like Npower. 30k is better than collecting 15k in private schools and doing marketing job. Npower even collaborated with some agencies that would help the beneficiaries to get loans for those ones that have business ideas. Make me self go collect my deployment letter on Wednesday. I have what I want to use that money for. Npower is just a stepping stone. Make una sit down and keep doing nothing, na only wailing una sabi. |

Saladin25:Your spirit is in the right place and operating on the right frequency my brother. Npower indeed is a well crafted stepping stone and by Gods grace it would not only empower people but also enrich them eventually |

Ziggylady:Npower is actually all over Nigeria and your ibo brothers and sisters are part of it too in the various States and even those who have migrated to other states outside their regions are also part of it so Npower is not a Yoruba thing as you blindly thought. |

Ziggylady:Yes I am high. I am high on truth. While you can keep staying high on hatred for Buhari and anything good from him. Npower is the very first truly transparent recruitment exercise in the entire history of Nigeria. Why didn't this happen in the last 16 years? Do you want to give any reason for that? |

No, i didn't miss any point. the 30k + tablet is to keep them up and working for 2 years, they also get to access loans from Npower if they have business ideas. before Npower, thousands/millions were jobless, so saying Npower is a bad thing is far fetched. Government is not even suppose to be in the business of providing jobs but here they are, giving hope to alot with no hope. Those who can do 30k jobs for 2 years aren't forced into the system either. you can go for your 500k/month job if it's available. We already have an overbloated civil services producing next to nothing so this one is actually effective and more valuable to the society than the default civil service. My biz crashed some months ago, if i can be picked for something like this which in turn opens me up to a safe and secure loan they give, i will gladly pick it up. (Not really because of the 30k but for the loan option to revive my business while also holding body and soul together with the extras) I know it's not the best but for now, better off than nothing since it's not forever and if you get a better offer, you can opt out. deepwater: |

somehow:Boss...The Government needs to abolish this Nonsense Programme... First, they should fix the power sector to a point where we can boast of at least 20hrs/day supply...Then, Foreign Direct Investment should be attracted...When the foreign companies begins operation, workers can learn the technology adopted by these companies and we all become happy again.. As a Nation, we cannot make an inch progress with this kind of programs... |

Let me intimate you. *GOOD NEWS TO NIGERIANS, BUHARI IS TURNING THE COUNTRY BACK TO IT'S BACK POSITION OF 1970's* NIGERIA IS ON THE TRACK AGAIN.. 1. Leventis has announced that it is coming back to Nigeria before the end of 2018? Leventis has announced that it will open three of its stores in Lagos before December ending, 2018. In case you don't know, Leventis is a food chain company, and owners of the popular UAC Confectionery, and groceries stores. 2. Bata Shoe Company is coming back to open its retails shops in Nigeria. It will open its first stores in Abuja and Lagos. The company, according to CGTN Africa Business Report, will groom local talents from Aba which is already a hub for shoe manufacturing. These companies left Nigeria as a result of harsh economic realities whereby successive governments encouraged importation, thereby weakening manufacturers break-evens in Nigeria. The companies are all coming back as a result of continuous and consistent policy gears that encourages made in Nigeria goods and services, strategic policy to ease the methods and operations of doing business in Nigeria. somehow:It beats me how you attempt to justify this fake political show of shame with logical reasons! I'm not against the people who benefit from the n-power, I just don't think it's enough reason for them to throw bouquets at a failed government and eulogize them over something that meagre. BTW, I try as much as possible to impact lives in my own little way. Bear in mind that what I earn is a result of MY HARDWORK, not stolen from the National purse. I may not be able to pay many people the n-power stipend continuously, but I pride myself in my ability to do my bit; not because I expect their votes, but because I care genuinely. |

candy:And did anybody armtwist them for their votes? You forget that the Npower program is for EVERY NIGERIAN regardless of party affiliations. No Godfather or Godmother involvement, no big shot influence whatsoever. If they wish to armtwist anybody then there would have been a clause which says you can only benefit if you belonged to a specific party. None of that happened and everyone in Nigeria regardless of religion, ethnicity and political affiliation is carried along. The FG is also doing the best they can and those who appreciate it will keep doing so regardless of what your opinions might be. |

Butterflyleo:Your opinion, your right sir. I have a right to my opinion too, so let it be. We all know the n power program is still a tool for them to steal money and it is hardly transparent. So, why the fuss over a program that's meant to make people vote along a certain line? Watch out for when your n-power stipend will be tied to your vote next year. |
| Re: Over 11,000 Benefiiciaries Of Npower In Ekiti Declare Support For Buhari by Butterflyleo(op): 7:40am On Jul 31, 2018 |
candy:Can you show how Npower " is hardly " transparent? Don't just make baseless claims and run vacuous commentaries. Do so by backing up your claims. The fact that you keep saying Npower is meant to make people vote along certain lines shows you lack the ability to carry out any deep reasoning whatsoever. Is there a monitoring spirit attached to any Npower beneficiary that would know who they vote for or not? Is there a shock trainer that would shock them to their senses whenever they wish to vote for someone else? Is there an invisible record keeper that follows them.around and takes note of political decisions or meetings or choices they make? You are just being paranoid over imaginations you are cooking up inside your own head. Deliver yourself from your inner demons please. |
