An Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, on Tuesday remanded a 47-year-old man, Premie Imafidon, for allegedly slapping his wife to death.

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs A.O. Ajibade, remanded Imafidon in Ikoyi Prisons and ordered that the case file should be sent to the State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for advice.

Ajibade adjourned the case until Sept. 3
The accused is facing a charge for murder.

Earlier, the Prosecutor, Sgt. Maria Dauda, told the court that the accused committed the offence on June 15, at 7.00 p.m., at No. 25, Apata St., Agege, Lagos.

She said that the accused had slapped his wife Hope, 42, which resulted to her death.

The offence contravened Section 224 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Section 224 stipulates death sentence for murder.

What a weakling in the name of a woman. Slaps that we took those days in the 70's from our parents and teachers. I am still even taking them today from the military and para military. And this one dies from a slap from someone who has not been well fed by her for 3 days. So pathetic.

Another method is to get myself trained with boxing, wrestling and kunfu- I know this one is time consuming, stressful and expensive. I will love this second method because men hate it when their wives give it to them real bad.

I think I'm beginning to have ideas on how to get my daughters ready just in case (God forbid) anyone of them falls to the hand of a beast.

This is why I wouldn't recommend hitting people. You dont know the sickness in their bodies and they might just die as a result of it. There are far worse ways of dealing with people without having to touch them physically!
