Fall academic session starting in exactly 5 weeks, at most 6 weeks from today. Many of us still waiting a decision not knowing our whole lives in only 5-6 week could be turned around. The picture below exemplifies school spirit and mascot that will waiting for some of us rolling into our dorms to start the fall session. Will you be in the number? God have your way!! I would advise you heighten your research on this bro... A friend tried to use WES academic assessment to gain admission into a Canadian university but did not succeed. He has to apply for WES Canada assessment. US and Canada may have similar academic standard but research shows that Canadian is higher

It’s highly contentious whether Canada is higher. Most of the world class schools and cutting edge research facilities are in USA schools. Some will make the claim that USA is higher. All I can say is both places are good places to be educated and you cannot go wrong if you make good decisions and study hard in both places. Some schools accept WES and others it doesn’t matter. Canada and US Standard of education are almost replicas. Canada accords serious recognition to USA degrees as they are sister countries. For example, my first degree in the USA meant I got waivers from Canadian schools that I applied. I got preferential treatment over those applying from other countries. I never had to use WES or submit any GRE tests as required from others. Canada and USA are birds of the same feather.

Just wanna ask his question tho, cos am curios. While waiting for my Biometrics today at VFS, I saw like 4 white ladies and 2 white guys coming out and entering a particular room that had "restrcicted area" on the door. Is it that there is a mini embassy in there where some of our applications are being processed. Just asking oo.. grin

Going through the bolded, I will have to prove you wrong by saying that this thread is indeed a charity organization because people from different nationalities come here to seek and acquire vital informations for free, which on a norm it will cost them a hell lot of money from immigration consultants out there. Well, I have voiced my mind and suggestion to the current situation. It's left for you as the moderator to take an action.

Regards,
Frank

@justwise

I honestly don’t have anything against you justwise.
You started this thread and some other Student visa threads , and I must commend you because I have benefited a lot.
However , due to your (maybe busy ) schedule and overseeing of the threads . Your contributions have been minimal here and some other persons have been making effort to keep your legacy (the thread)alive. But all Frankrobbn1 is saying is crystal clear and straight forward. It does not appear to me to be an advert if you post another suggested link for generation of the GCMS note.
In fact will aid persons in getting their detailed reasons for refusal without waiting for persons in Canada apply for them.

Thank you

True... higher standard of education is debatable as different folks have different views to foster their claims.
Your case is different, no doubts, US graduates don't need WES assessment to further their education in Canada as both countries have similar educational standard aside from Quebec province which requires the applicant to prove his fluency in french. The guy in question schooled in Nigeria and asked whether he could use US WES academic assessment for entry into Canadian school. If this is possible why is US WES assessment different from that of WES Canada? The fact that both countries have comparable educational system does not mean that they use the same criteria in assessing one's credentials. WES US assesses to meet the benchmark for entry into US schools likewise WES Canada does same to satisfy the needs for admission into Canadian schools.

See as i dey argue self yet files full my table... abegi back to office tins. grin shocked shocked

The asker didn’t say he is applying to Canadian schools only. He said he is applying to both Canada and USA schools and asked whether he could use both WES Canada and WES USA in applying to both countries I thought that was what he asked. I answered that he could use both as applicable to their respective countries.

The emphasis on Canada and USA WES is not on standards of education, but Grade point interpration and conversion.

This morning I got banned under rule 6 for dropping a Gcms link other than the site approved. I guess it’s evidently clear that the rules are not going to change and people should do their due diligence in finding out credible Gcms links by themselves. Please let us close this topic as it’s an exercise futility trying to prove otherwise. Let’s move on to something better.

You're absolutely right!

Oga Frank

What am meant to understand now is it that it's a norm or like usual thing for a typical online application to stay up to 9 weeks without medical call. What could be the % going down Memory Lane for an an online application to stay this long and the outcome because from the look of things June online applicants are wondering what could happen..

I know someone that applied online on June 2. Did biometrics on 6th June and was called to drop his passport on 20th. On 11th July it was ready for pick up. Talk of God's grace and favour.
