http://scorenigeria.com.ng/2018/08/04/golden-eaglets-begin-mri-age-scan-with-only-40-players/

The U17s today in Abuja begun the severally delayed MRI scan to determine if they fall within the eligible age, but it could well be tough going as only 40 players will be tested, SCORENigeria has again scooped.

The initial proposal was for at least 60 players to undergo the MRI scan to improve the chances of success, but the approving authorities have reduced the number to 40 players.

Twenty three of the 60 players tested failed the test last year.

SCORENigeria gathered that the age test will be repeated for the final squad of players for the U17 zonal qualifiers in Niger, which begins on September 2.

The Eaglets are drawn in Group B along with Cote d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso and Benin Republic.

Only the overall winners of the zonal qualifiers will advance to the tournament proper in Tanzania next year.

As usual, more than half are likely to fail the MRI test.

I think, there has to be multiple levels of screening even before being accepted for trials. We can reduce the chances of failure significantly.

Iheanacho with another goal against Lille today.

Three goals in 3 preseason matches.

Is he truly back? Only time will tell.

Kalu in France to seal the deal.

Rohr being a fan of Bordeaux...expect him to hand kalu a call soon provided he replicate his performance while in Belgium...
a good move I will call it.

ANS reports that Torino is very interested in Ola Aina

if that's true...he should move asap...
the problem with English kids is that they rarely wanna seek play time elsewhere outside england.

I don't think any match NPFL can get stadium packed like that not even kano pillars
BascoVanVeli:
.

The best team in south Africa versus the biggest team and if that wasn't spicy enough add Karma Billiat the sundown legend joining the chiefs in the offseason. I won't lie I marked this game down myself but was a bit disappointed with the result.
The south Africans can always pack the stadium for big matches but once it is sundowns vs free state stars nobody will be insight. Even the NPFL is almost at the PSL's level in attendance, that's how bad it gets sometimes.

Italian Serie A club Torino are competing with Championship sides West Brom and Derby County for the signature of Chelsea defender Ola Aina in the summer transfer window.

Cuoretoro.it says Torino are holding transfer talks with the Nigeria international who played last season on loan at Hull City and featured in 44 games in the English second-tier.

His form for the Tigers contributed to the decision of Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr naming the fullback in a 25-man provisional roster for the 2018 World Cup.

If his transfer to The Maroons materializes, Aina could link up with fellow Super Eagle Joel Obi, though the midfielder is drawing transfer interest from Spanish, Italian and English clubs.

The 21-year-old has been on the books of Chelsea since joining the club as an Under 11, he is not in the plans of new Blues boss Maurizio Sarri and is unlikely to play a part in tomorrow's Community Shield clash against Manchester City.

Aina has a contract with Chelsea until the end of the 2019-2020 season.

Yes but Kano is packed week in week out. I guarantee they have more average attendance than the majority of PSL clubs.

Well he is now a Nigerian international. Any player who is serious about playing for SE should be willing to play in other leagues when there is no chance in sight for the EPL. Komekn come and beat me.

at least he has started on a good note and may be close to the main team if he posts good performances.

Irrespective of our reservations as to the moves our players make, we should be a little happy when they do something good in their teams at least

Derby County are swooping for Chelsea fullback Ola Aina.

The Daily Mail says Aina is poised to join Derby on loan despite interest from West Brom.

Derby hope Jody Morris and Frank Lampard can swing the deal for the 21-year-old right-back their way.

Aina spent last season on-loan with Hull City.

The Nigeria international enjoyed a full season of 44 games with the Tigers last term.

Aina should look for a permanent move to a mid table EPL team or move abroad.

At least we have not come close to the violence the PSL had last season. Enyimba vs Kano is always packed along with any regional derbies outside the south south. Rangers Vs any eastern club means a packed cathedral. Just like the north.

Go on YouTube & check Kano Pillars Vs Enyimba 2017 or so. The stadium was sardined!

I remember in 2016, Rangers games used to bring a full house to the cathedral(Their home ground)
