Inverter experts in the house please help out. I have Microtek and Sinergy inverters that keep giving me issues. About 50pcs of each brand currently faulty, sinergy inverters are displaying short circuit protection, while the microtek does not charge the batteries sometimes or refuses to output power. Funny incident is that, some of the inverters work well in the testing shop, but when deployed in various locations in the field, they don't work. I'm currently clueless as to what the problem could be. Anyone with ideas pls quote.

Check your wiring connection.
Uplug the inverter system from the existing connection of the main facility.
Set up a temporary side connection and test, if it works fine then u av asvertained your wiring has issues. If otherwise then you need to replace that inverter

These deep-cycle batteries speedily lose capacity...some within months...and the set-up itself hardly goes a full year without having to fix or replace something

And Nigerian Inverter technicians are not helping matters either....i will just leave this one at this

You are definitely in the wrong thread. Some of us have been on Solar only with huge setup for over 4 years and systems are still performing.
Break out of generator palava and take time to go through the preeminent thread on solar in Nigeria and experience peace

I just narrated my experience...and you are not in any position to tell me I patronized quack technicians since you were not there when I patronized them

Take it or leave it ....the cost of maintaining a large inverter set-up is more than that of maintaining and fuelling a quiet generator which will comfortably power same appliances....

Inverter installers never tell you you will need to replace ur batteries at least once a year or that just like any other manmade thing, something can seriously go wrong with the set-up at any time

They are too busy pointing out the noisiness And cost of fuelling generators while ignoring the fact that there are practically soundless generators with great fuel economy and power

My humble opinion is that generally speaking, the deep cycle battery/inverter situation in Nigeria is just a penny wise pound foolish venture.....too many crook installers and low quality materials abound

A bit of sanity may return if and when original li-po batteries start being safely used for large inverter set-ups ....at least those batteries can last for a five years or more and can be fixed And returned to optimum condition by simply replacing dead cells which may cause it to malfunction ....unlike those deep cycle batteries that are mostly unfixable once dead

My humble opinion is that generally speaking, the deep cycle battery/inverter situation in Nigeria is just a penny wise pound foolish venture.....too many crook installers and low quality materials abound

A bit of sanity may return if and when original li-po batteries start being safely used for large inverter set-ups ....at least those batteries can last for a five years or more and can be fixed And returned to optimum condition by simply replacing dead cells which may cause it to malfunction ....unlike those deep cycle batteries that are mostly unfixable once dead

i have been using my sukam inverter and solar panels since 2006 with no issues , battery hooked to a battery desulfator . take it or leave it . once u know d rudiments you wont miss it!!
