Bros, they are not saying it is a must if other factors are already to your advantage, like age, Msc degree, Canadian work experience/education and a sibling in Canada too. Those numbers are what you need to averagely maximize your IELTS, thus, put your CRS score in a well competitive position. Who says you can't also exceed those numbers? Of course it is doable. If you know you know.
Enjoy your Sunday jor!

I may have a poor educational background, but I believe at least means the minimum you can have to stand a chance. But this is not the case. Many people would read that and get discouraged thinking that is the absolute minimum. For clarification, minimum IELTS score required for Canada Express Entry is 6 in all skills tested.

No you don't need to do anything on ur part. Review required means that they would check to see if the answer u gave is legit.

You can all also try ICES. Google 'canada where can I get eca' to get the full list or check last few pages of part 4 of this thread.

Thank you.

Please where is this 8777 in LRWS coming from, I keep seeing constant reference to this 'magic' number? Minimum required is CLB 7 which is IELTS 6.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=666&top=29

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/language-requirements/language-testing.html

Mr/Mrs its a wonder, like you typed.."magic number". How many people have you seen that got ITA as Primary applicant with a score of 6 across board? Dedicate a good amount of time to reading and you will understand why 8777 is the magic number. Alternatively, input your score to be 6 in the CRS tool and input the "magical number" to fully understand why its magical.

They require me to upload a copy of my transcript, which is not easily obtained by hand in my school. I hope they will waive it.

I am planning to go ahead with the payment anyway, then wait for their response. If they really need it, I expect they will let me know.

What do you think?

Even with other factors you mentioned, what proportion of people that gets PPR with IELTS with average 6? When we advice some, its not like we dont know the minimum requirements nah but we try to tell them what will give them edge and higher score. With ITA hovering around 441....what will 6666 in ELTS do for such person? Even with Masters degree.

Like you said "If they know, they know". grin

Many people would read that and get discouraged thinking that is the absolute minimum. For clarification, minimum IELTS score required for Canada Express Entry is 6 in all skills tested.

Bros, no one is questioning your educational background either is anyone saying the minimum language score has changed from CIC website. While, you are right about people taking the "magic numbers 8777" to be the minimum standard as against CIC recommendation. Don't fail to ask yourself what will the CLB 7 amount to if you give people that advice? Especially newbies. With overall band 6, Msc, 3yrs work experience, single and less than 30yrs, the CRS score is just 363; that won't do much in this race. Mind you, we are here to help ourselves by pointing the best direction to make you competitive for possible ITA.
So I hope you see why the 8777 is recommended to averagely maximized IELTS scores.

A similar situation is CIC recommendation for spouse to evaluate their credentials and take language test. But, not all PPR clinchers here did both, some did only one, while others didn't do any for their spouse, yet they get PPR. So my friend, you can now see the basis of that advice, it is to get a good CRS score in this hustle.

OK. Is it in that order or IELTS first?

You can start with ECA first has it takes a longer time to acquire. so while your eta is on-going, you can then prepare for ielts.

I'm on same page with you on this, as I'm not on a parallel line with you. I only enlisted those factors as what can only exempt one from his alleged magic numbers. I got your back on this.

The transcript has to be uploaded from the school's official email and not generic emails like yahoo, gmail.etc otherwise, it will not be accepted. Meaning, your school will be the one to send it by email. At least from what i gathered on their website.

if Tbills are accepted, why not bitcoins?

Tbills are known to be quite stable but cryptocurrencies on the other hand are known to be speculative and there really is no clear legislation on them. The implication is that the value can drop (Or multiply) over night and one can be left with absolutely nothing(or an instant billionaire grin)!

I don't think it can be accepted as POF

Asides the transcript that is to be sent by the school, they also requested that a client should upload one. Considering that transcripts are not normally handled by individuals, I hope they overlook this and accept the one sent from my University.
I understand they can also send it by surface mail as well .
I am already working on that.
I would appreciate any opinions you have

Thanks

I think some universities issue students a copy of their transcript at a fee especially if it had been issued before. why not inquire from your institution

It depends on where you indicated them. If on your EE form before ITA, surely a placeholder will be created for reference letter when you get ITA. It's advisable you only mention the experience you are claiming points for and past experience will be mentioned in your personal history after ITA.

All u need to do is send your certificate,ID and any other docs u deem necessary, in my case, I sent change of name docs to the email given while you ask your school to send your transcript via official email to them quoting the reference no u will be given at some point as subject. It used to take about 7weeks from the day u register.
