Listen my friend, he never said u must own ur house or company before getting marry.
But at least get a shelter or hv something doing before talking about marriage. He speaks from experience.

He's absolutely correct. In practical terms, how could a man without a job take care of his woman. As for securing a house, every woman enjoy comfort and privacy and this could only be achieved when everything is put in place including house and car(optional)
I achieved both but when i was about to consider marriage i lost my job but i didn't lose my dream of becoming an entrepreneur which I'm living now.

While it is true that women generally prefer a man with means to take care of them and their offsprings, it is not true that you must have a job and a house to have a wife. What a woman needs is a man with a clear set of goals and is working towards them. The woman can sometimes be the catalyst that brings success to a man and to themselves.

If all women who are ready for marriage should wait for a successful man, they may be waiting for a long time. There aren't enough eligble succesful men at all times available to marry every woman who is ready for marriage.

I understand the pastor's point but he didn't table the question very well. He is just trying to tell men to be hardworking. Time has changed and things have changed. Since it's now about job and house, what happens if you lose 1 or both of them few months after marriage, should the wife divorce you or you let her go since thats what you consider as conditions for marriage?

The house Adam was living was a rented duplex with big garden. If not that the place was rented to him, what right has heavenly Father to send him packing when he touched what the landlord asked him not to touch?
You see, the pastor wasn't necessarily talking about building one's apartment but a place good to be living, wether rented or owned. But many members lack deep knowledge. They won't read Bible with insight. I don't blame some members.
