I have live the life
I know what the average salary are
Thank God for over 20 year i have not have to worry about making average salary
The first investment I made cost me about 27K
If I have invested in the same location 270k back the time I make the first investment
my investment wold have being over one million today
like my brother said we did ok
I gave up a lot it was hard and painful
I put all into it
eight year I sometime only have $5 driving 80 mile away and back from work total
I can't wait to put this year and next year behind me
Just live life watch my hard work paying off

I will just say two words to caution you about investing...

Yep , I follow SOME of fave Ramsey teaching but some his teaching are not realistic. He was a young man in the 80’s where it was easier for you to get own place and take care of yourself . Now it’s harder for younger people to do that. The average apartment cost $1000 in my area cost that, I’m not sure how fresh 18 year old is going to afford that , even with room mates . Yea a lot of people appear to have more money than they have.

Credit is very big here and people are able to get what they can’t afford. For example , if your make like around $1500 a month and have decent credit score, they can give you a Benz or bmw .
Same thing with housing , there is neighborhood around me , whereby the houses were selling fast , average house around $400,000 the lenders there are very lenient and but most of people buying were 2 income .
Truthfully, some of his teachings are unrealistic in today's economy but his main teaching is to live debt free aka Cash Is King.

If that's the case, I'll be driving a Benz s550 or BMW 7Series soon. grin grin grin

"if your make like around $1500 a month and have decent credit score, they can give you a Benz or bmw "
$1500 monthly income will qualify u for new BMW or benze
Lease or buy?
Benz or BMW monthly pay if you are buying
What is your down payment
Your monthly payment for BMW 4,35i xdrive controvertible will be about 1k monthly with 10k down
BMW, Benze and Lexus you must have a very good credit score

It’s obviously not going to be new if your income is that low .They have different ranges of prices of Benz or bmw, especially if if it’s a used car. The road side dealers are have loan sharks that also lend cars to people with poor credit. It’s just not cars , it also credit cards as well. Easy to give out but easy to pay back.

Debt free is good , but you also need it show good credit history . Yes paying cash for everything is good but that not how the American system is built . In my area where an average single family home start at $400,000 in a decent neighborhood. Sure you can get it cheaper but you won’t be living in the best area. Also how does he expect someone like you living in New York to buy a house cash. Even you move to Texas , where house is cheaper , where you can get something for $100-$200k how are you going to save that up especially if your paying rent somewhere and other bills. It’s either earning a very high income with no - low debt or living at home parents with no bills with decent income and saving rigorously but how many people have that option.?

No that not possible unless they’re living at home with parents but that still not reasonable . I originally stated that some people with $1500 income could be driving Benz, they’re not driving the new ones of course. Like some people may have houses passed down them by their parents or grand parents so they may not have mortgage but it will be still be unreasonable to have $1000 car payment . Plus they still have to pay for car insurance as well.

Looking at everything... I just realized that our disorganized lifestyle in Africa is a bit better in terms of how you spend your money... grin grin grin
although the standard of living in U.S or Western World is a lot better than living in Africa , but for adult moving to U.S getting use to credit score, buying house on credit etc will take time getting use to.

Yes it is , I had it easier because I moved here in my teenage years , I got accustomed to everything fairly quickly and was on par with people born in the country . One of the best classes I took in my senior year of high school was financial class . It taught me about finiancing in America. My teacher gave us a project whereby we would have to research the starting income of our aspiring fields and then make a budget of the basics( house, food and transportation) based take home. We also had to pick where we wanted to live so that everything could be done according to the cost of living in that particular area .

Well, what you are taught regarding financial literacy especially as a teens has nothing to do with your realities when out of school. If that's the case, how come a lot of Americans are(die) in debts?.

What I was taught was very realistic , and helped shaped me . But not everyone going to make sure of the teaching , but it still needs to be taught . A lot of school do not have mandatory financial class.

Sequel to my previous post, we had a success party last Saturday with both past student and present.. A very notable testimony was one of our student who had a job with capital bank as a network security engineer earning $125k at 60 years old. To be honest we were a bit skeptical about him when he started the class but he proved us wrong..

I took some picture of the school and lab environment.. We are currently working on building a server/firewall topology as our latest hands on project.. Present students were very much encouraged by our mentor who is set to hit $1 million annually.. 6 figures us very much doable in d security field.

Online classes will commence first week of September to accommodate individual in other states.
