Here is the thread with you as the very last person to comment on it.... "Blast from the...." grin

https://www.nairaland.com/2315999/super-eagles-nigeria-thread-2017/160

It is very easily accessible through Google search. wink The internet never forgets. These threads are well documented and anyone that search "Super Eagles" or "Super Eagles thread(s)" can access them via a simple Google search.

I get your point though. Maintaining one thread sounds cool but the team evolves from tournament to tournament and period to period. We have had this discussion before in the previous super Eagles thread.

In truth, continuously modifying the title of this thread as each tournament comes year after year can be confusing to non-vocal members viewing as guests or from the ghostmode cave.

In conclusion shaa, I understand your angle... maybe then, for the sake of just continuing... "The Super Eagles thread" tag in the thread title will be "the only constant" in the title while the period or tournament in focus can change from time to time. I can say okay, for continuity sake provided that constant changes not.

And yeah Dad, my ventures are going just fine. Really been engaged but all is going well. wink

It was easy for you to search out because you remember the title.

Remember say some of us no get time to dey remember things like that o. Hahaha.

You are missing Bolowolowo's point. He is simply pointing out that Foden training every day and working with Pep without playing time has been molded into a top quality player. He believes Nacho working with the team would have improved Nacho at a fast rate.

However, with perseverance and hardwork, Nacho can still achieve greatness. There is not one road to Jerusalem.
Doesn't matter. He clearly wasn't a fit. He's better off leaving. It's easier for Foden because he's naturally a Pep sort of midfielder.

Obasonjo is a well informed person having been president and actually ran the economy of a country. The level of Intel at his disposal cannot be waved off by anyone with a backhand.
If he says $1B =1KMW then that's what it is.

The improvements you're noticing in electricity is simply as a result of the raining season which coincides with the peak period and high water levels of the hydro power plants.
By dry season when the water levels go down, the production output of those hydro plants will drop significantly and the national output could be hovering anywhere around 2000-3000MW.

The infrastructural challenges Nigeria will have to offset just to be ready to host the world is monumental. I have been to a world cup, I understand how much hosting countries invest to get things done.
This wishful thinking that Nigeria can host the world cup is akin to the emperor and his new cloths.

Yes, obj is well informed yet billions meant for power projects were siphoned under his nose. grin

U sure dey naija!? grin

Whether dry season or not, with generator powering the stadiums, hotels, etc light will not be an issue. After all, we have hosted FIFA competitions despite shortage of power. Abi, you know know?

Even as developed as korea is, dey get stand by generator for stadiums, hotels, homes etcetera why? Because dem dey take light sometimes yet dem hosted FIFA world cup.

What are those infrastructures you're talking about? I think they only exist in your imagination because the ones I know are currently under construction. EOD

Yet most of the airports are in bad shape. You do not have a functioning rail system that covers the country to facilitate movement.

Security situation is poor. Armed robbers and kidnappers are on travelling routes.

There will be thousands of people travelling from state to state to watch games. Can you guarantee safety?

Which airports are in bad shape?

What is wrong with the rail projects that are under construction covering major cities are you not aware?

Security has always been a global issue. If not why dem dey kill demselves for Yankee anyhow?

Even Russia is deadly if you don't know.

A 40k earner is very lucky. I know teachers who earn 10-15k per month. And I'm not exaggerating.

I have just opened my mouth in TOTAL BEWILDERMENT.

How is somebody suppose to live on 15k a month. I am not ostentatious but on a good average night out one can easily spend 100k in Lagos with a few friends.

Please are you being serious ❓ because I find that very hard to believe 15k.

To host the world cup, you firstly need 12 stadiums with at least 40,000 capacity.

How many of those North African countries can boast of
12 stadiums with such capacity? None

Only Morocco has 6 of those while Egypt, Tunisia and Algeria have 3, 2 & 3 respectively while we have 4 of such capacity.

Algeria have 5 stadiums of 40.000 and more , +++ 4 new stadiums over 40.000 capacity are under construction will be finished this year wink

Tanzania also made a great hire. Amunike has played at the highest level and he has not been shy as a coach. I believe we will see the best of him in Tanzania which is almost as good a working situation as you can find in Africa. Hopefully it all comes back home in the end.

Siasia abeg go find work o!! The guy reminds me of gradates that say they will only work a certain job even though they know those jobs are not available while others are.

Because he simply couldn't. I think it's clear to everyone that whatever Playmaking/link up ability he had at U17 has vanished. Aguero's case was mainly from a physical aspect (for pressing). Let's not act like Aguero isn't superb on the ball.

Some people earn 8-10K a month, yet it is still not regular.

My brother, that is the society we find ourselves in.

FiFA U17 and U20 world cups were conceived by FIFA to develop the game talent-wise and also the infrastructure in developing countries.
That is why you see countries like Colombia, Trinidad and Tobago,Nigeria, Finland and the likes host those tournaments.

Even the U17 world cup Nigeria hosted, proved to be very challenging. FIFA threatened at some point to strip Nigeria off the hosting right since we were behind schedule in preparations. Our good o'l friend Jack Warner did us a favour by collecting $omething which proved quite persuasive. Even at that, Mexico, I think was in line to replace Nigeria at a point.
The tournament itself wasn't smooth sailing.I was at the stadium when Costa Rica played Turkey and the lights went off! 15mins. Some games were held up due to waterlogged pitch.

The same scenario played out in 99. Infact Nigeria was supposed to host the earlier edition but because we were behind schedule in addition to the breakout of an epidemic disease, was it yellow fever? That right was stripped and pushed up to 99. Then came 99, we were also behind schedule that the hosting right was yet again almost stripped but for our O'l friend again (Jack Warner) coming to the re$cue. He collect wella and even went home with a chieftency title. His influence was pivotal in FIFA retaining Nigeria as host in 99.

Nigeria is a poor 3rd world country. Wheather anyone likes it or not. The much talked about 2018 budget is largely financed by foreign aids and you're here making mouth. Excuse me.

How did Nacho's playmaking skills vanish? Did you see some of his assists at City?

A lot of you forget that Nacho posted some good games under Guardiola. Guardiola prefers Gabriel Jesus because of the fight he brings to the team. Something Aguero has improved on.

With time, Nacho would have adapted but as I said, there is not only one road to Jerusalem.

Warming bench does not mean lack of progress, especially if he gets to work day in day out with one of the best coaches in the history of football and train with some of the finest players in the game today. The suggestion is about building attributes and becoming a better player.
