Check the German website. You'll see the steps for procuring a sponsorship letter and the requirements. I used blocked account, so I wouldn't know. Good luck.

I would suggest you consider the options for scholarship as option Z, frankly speaking the requirements for obtaining a german scholarship is quite tough. if you observe clearly a good number of us here are looking for a way out either through SL or BA.

But if you wanna try, then look out for DAAD scholarships, Heinrich boll, or one MBA scholarship like that (kofi Annan scholarship for African students) or you just make google your girlfriend.

wish you the very best of success in your endeavors.

Cheers
Thanks alot.I am looking for an undergraduate scholarship.
I've checked out the three scholarships you mentioned, they are all targeted towards MBA and phD.
I've never seen undergrad scholarship.
My problems are:
1.Money for BA is too bogus for me.

2.I know no one in deutschland for SL.

I went for my interview today at the German Embassy, Abuja. The V.O, a light-skinned woman, insisted I get my original degree certificate and reapply for appointment.

Nb: I graduated in 2016. I went to my school two weeks ago and was told my certificate wasn't ready. I explained this to the V.O. I even attached the statement of result and transcript.

I'm doing everything possible to get my school to print the certificate.

Has any1 here had issues like this that warrant reapplication? How possible will it be to get interview appointment again?

Nigerian institutions are so incompetent! Since 2016 and they still don't have certificates ready? Wow

I think someone has answered your question. You have to make Google your best friend.Let me give you a tip: apply to schools very early, and when you get admit best before April, then you can use your admission letter to apply for scholarship especially the Deutschelandstipendium. Nevertheless, it is only possible if you gained admit from a federal or state University. Many, people don't know this even me previously. You apply for the Deutschelandstipendium from your University. This is not extremely difficult to get, because it is need- based and not merit based. This applies to new and old students and can be renewed yearly. The amount given is 300 euros, monthly. So your getting it depends on how you craft your letter of motivation based on your need. And lest I forget... for some Universities, application commences from April 23rd and ends May 13th. So you see, that's why you need to gain admission early. I missed this, because I started this Germany saga late. So be wise.

The public holiday does not affect the German embassy

You need to understand German embassy compound is not a Nigerian territory. When you are in the compound of the embassy, you can say you are in Germany. So, it's only if the holiday is declared in Germany, which they would have considered before giving you appointment, that they would acknowledge the holiday. That's my own angle to this.

Besides, I'm sure you won't want to miss that hard earned appointment because it's a Public when the embassy have not told you so. I trust Nigerians

Do you have a masters? Are proposing a thesis in your mail? Is it related to what those professors are working on at the moment?

If ur answer is no to any of these questions then you need to make them yes before you start contacting them.
You should send ur CV as well.

Lastly, many of them are very busy and expect you to take no response as a negative response.

I have YES to all the questions sir.

Good evening room, if i make part payment to my fintiba account will I get a notification via email or is it when I make the full payment that I can get the notification, please help a brother In need
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 5 by Nellso: 8:44pm On Aug 08, 2018
If you're waiting for their e-mail notification, it sometimes takes time. I made part payment, they credited my account, but I didn't get any e-mail notification until after about 5days. Best thing to do is to log into your fintiba account and click "online banking", then click "account balance". That's where they'll credit it, then you wait for e-mail notification. Good luck

All glory to God.

I am also one of those silent readers for a long time.

Applied July 9.
No interview questions asked apart from what type of visa I was applying for and evidence of BA.
Took a month to be processed.
Picked up my visa today.
The only question I was asked when I went to pickup was when do I want my visa to start from.

Course: MSc. Ag. Econs
Universitat Hohenheim

Thanks to all Nairalanders especially those Dons answering questions and pouring out knowledge for others. Great is your reward.

Just wanted to ask you the course and University, as I am presently gathering as much info as possible. I have been following the thread from part 4 though, I applied to just Bonn and Jena for Winter, thinking that having a good CGPA would get me admitted. Admission was rejected for Bonn, while Jena is yet to give a decision on my application, I have learnt here that applying to as many schools as possible is the key. Consequently, I have now settled for Summer 2019 so that I can finish the program I am presently running before re-firing. Suggestions are most welcome. Thanks
