Kovačić isn't leaving, he's going on loan to get playing time necessary for his development as part of the process of grooming him to take over from Luka

James was never groomed to take over from anybody so I have no idea what you mean by this

Nacho was 4th on the pecking order. He is now playing regularly and is now a member of the Spanish football team. He may still be 3rd after Ramos and Varane but is a reliable replacement for either.

Jese was once touted to be the next big thing until the ACL and the rest is history.

James was not being groomed but you can't deny expectations about him becoming a core player in the midfield in the next years to come. This would likely not occur again.

Kovacic is gone. He even sent a good bye message via his twitter handle. He don't look like someone wanting to comeback and warm the bench again.

My point is this;

Tell me any player Real Madrid has kept for the future in the team and ended up becoming that dream player?

Real Madrid will always buy. You maybe loaned out and return which is sort of becoming the ritual. But staying back and hoping for that day is becoming far fetched

What about Flo Perez? I see him wanting to turn Madrid a Spanish core team taking hint from Barca's glorious age.

Lopetegui may have issues starting Modric and Isco together if he decides to use the latter in the midfield. Also there's gonna be a break in the BBA if he decides to use him up front..


But nonetheless I believe he has a good team... The only thing he needs for sure is an average of 50goals/season from a single person like our talisma used to have... but he said it himself that he appreciates more of teamwork than an individual thing...

We still have a long way to go and I believe in this great team which has hungry young stars who want to sell themselves to the world on the bench. Apparently, their Zeal is gonna have great impact on the team whenever they are brought in... This is exactly what Zizou used the likes of Asensio for...

I look forward to a great season as usual.

Furthermore, since we don't have a quality back up for Benzema, will can resort to the false 9 tactics in some matches by taking out Benzema for Isco in a 4 4 2 formation.
