In advanced countries like the U.S, CS is far safe than our celebrated induced delivery due largely because of advanced modern medical facilities. Its rarely heard and atimes non- existent that a woman die in the labour room.
Only an experienced medical professional in Nigeria can be able to conduct a successful CS.

What is the obsession with having children in Africa?

The continent is rife with hunger, poverty, disease, pollution, density, traffic, overpopulation - People still do everything possible to add to the population!!!

Not to talk of labour . Manner no dey fall from heaven o, na person God dey send dey give you.

ohhhhh boy, the comments alone Dy fear me..

Well I will prefer CS...

I have listened to experiences of first time vagina delivery, One said she fainted abi died sef buh God saved her, another one said the baby refused to come out ... Two women in my church died in the process.. . I really don't know what's wrong.

I think CS is better, easier and well your body remains intact..lots of advantages..

Chai I'm scared o. . .God be with all pregnant women out there, it ain't easy....

Depending on the condition of the woman, if there is any little complication, please CS is strongly advised because you may labour for hours and still end up in the theater. And elective CS is more save than emergency CS. The earlier the better.

In an uncompilicated or even complicated pregnancy, the choice of delivery should be discussed between the obstetrician and the woman.
The main thing is to have a healthy mother first, and then a healthy baby

Spot on.

Even in Nigeria, CS is like one of the easiest thing to do......20-30mins maximum.it's because of funding which most patients can't afford. atleast the cheapest CS is around 130k couple with the fact that we Nigerians like to put relegion into everything.....

..Nigeria doctors encourage CS more..because it's within control and better managed than normal VD which is dependent on hormone and ability of patient to withstand pain...
..the only thing that could go wrong is the patient's clinical reaction to ketamine, some paitient don't just ever wake up from the anesthesic. Like the brain just became comfortable with the sleep and decided to sleep finally......or paralysis if open eye surgery is done

Women make other women who do CS seem like incomplete mothers.

I was in contact with my pastor's wife when i was in the hospital. When i told her that they wanted to do a CS and i didn't want it, she told me not to resist that there is nothing wrong with CS.

Bottom line is vaginal or CS, we are mothers

As far as I know... There is no Christian tenet objecting to CS, especially when the mother or child's health is in question. ALL I want is a safe delivery... Btw, I don't like the big puffy stomach that accompany CS...

That is my problem with CS. I've got flat tommy and tight pelvic, I'd have to let go of one to have my kids. I'm open to any one though but will prefer VD

It depends on the individual. Some people want to spill blood over their kids to get a sense of accomplishment.
My close relative who had two vaginal births before a CS says she will choose a vaginal birth over the CS mainly because of the healing process associated with a CS.

After the first 2 to 3 days, it gets better. I attended a wedding exactly a week after delivery through CS

You see what wise women don't know, some selfish men are against CS just because of the money involved.

Women don't allow church to deceive you about Hebrew women delivery, things are changing for good.

CS now is not as it used to be, you hardly notice you did CS after 3months, CS is now advancing. Is not easy for the first 2weeks only, after which you be good.

Note: No more loosing of stitches, if you open your tummy, nobody will dictate where the CS was carried out.

The only disadvantage of CS for now is that you will be advised not to give birth to not more than 4 or 5 as the case maybe, for some is the cost. But for some of us that delivery is free either of the two, why then should i think of vaginal delivery.

The funny thing now is even the medical women now that prefers CS for themselves to vaginal delivery, so whom am i not to.

For some men, they don't like it bc of the cost, while some men now opt CS for their wives.

5 is even too much sef, I wan dey boil them chop?
I plan on having Twins or Triplets someday, via IVF all thing being equal. And it is CS straight up before the 9th month sef. In my head i've got everything sorted out and i'm saving as well. What's next is for their father to show face and coman join money to the one I already have and let's do it.

This post goes out to all the ladies out there, and as well doctors and nurses in the house.

I had a conversation with a female colleague of mine and the chat led to this. I asked why if she would choose CS over normal delivery, and she chose CS . I was surprised.

Would you choose CS over normal delivery supposing there were no health implications?

For the men, would you allow your wives to choose CS over normal delivery ?

Drop your matured comments.

I will choose CS over normal delivery over and over again

Is always good not to speak on something one isn't sure of, which tummy scar, you are indeed an old school. Unless your wife has big tummy before CS, then you don't expect magic to bring it down.

Your tummy remains the same after CS, you don't know that the tummy becomes more cleared during CS, than vaginal delivery
My SIL had her first 3 kids thru VD and her tommy has been flat as always. She just gave birth thru CS 2 weeks ago and she still looks pregnant... I believe over the years it will come down sha.

Most of the people talking here haven't gone through labour. Someone even said women opting for CS want to waste their husbands' money.

Hmm. Who no go, no know. Labour is one of the most painful things ever. Me that was in labour for 17 hours and tried pushing for 6 without success, I know CS is a blessing.

CS all the way. You should see women in labour arrive at the hospital, charley no be easy. It scares me like crazy. Had a nasty argument with one of the midwives when she was insisting i go into the labour room and do verification for woman in labour. Told her point blank i wont do it but will wait till she delivers. She kept shouting "are you not a woman? Won't you give birth?" . Madam the only labour i want to see is mine

my wife delivered through C/s recently, it's not easy.
she first of all tried normal delivery, for two hours wifey was screaming.I just couldn't stand it(felt like my heart was about to leave my body).
Later the doctor recommended C/s, they had to now rush her to theatre from the labour room . They tried putting her to sleep, but wifey was still half awake, she was screaming all through the c/s.The nurses had to hold her hands and legs.

was an experience for me.
C/s patients take longer to heal.
our baby is 3weeks old.

I gave birth to my first child through emergency CS, after long time of labour, the doctor noticed that my pelvic was too tight for her head to come out. My next baby, I will opt for CS, cos I can't go through that pain again.
