@Renee25 Good morning. I've gone through my form and I didn't see any questions about previous work in government, military and so on. Mine is Tier 4 General. Is yours also General? or it's Sponsored? Anyway, you're fine putting 'No' since you've been working in a private hospital.

OlowoB:

All documents listed on your CAS should be submitted. Please make sure you do not omit any when submitting. It is better to submit extra than submit less.

Read through your CAS very well, there is a section where it will say "Evidence Provided" All the documents listed in that section of CAS must be submitted to the embassy + your statement of account.

P.S: If using parents account, you attach a letter from your parents and your birth certificate.

What about a situation where your school is a tier 4 pilot institution and they send you an email informing you not to add financial and qualification documents when submitting your visa application.

Oh yeah, some schools are exempted (those on the pilot scheme; over 20 universities in UK).

If you applied to such schools, you don’t submit any of the documents I listed previously except specifically requested by the home office. Students going to such schools, once they get their CAS, their visa is ALMOST guaranteed and they get 6 months extra on their brp.

P.S I think the scheme is just for masters students applying to those schoools.

Please house, a school application form asked if I had been refused entry visa into the UK before as shown in the picture and I answered yes, because I was denied a Visit visa in 2011.
So they asked me which course I applied for when denied and I replied this morning that it was a visit visa.
Does that question apply only to study visas?
Thanks

Hello house please I need a quick response to this question. My brother helped me we with the money in my account for 28days since I can’t use his own account statement. Now my question is if I’m to print the SOA, do I have to print from the day the money came into the account or I can decide not to print from the day he transferred the money to my account?
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by Renee25: 4:30pm On Aug 12, 2018
Thanks a lot for your responses @liana001. I'll fill that part as YES since I've done NYSC and Yes, mine is tier 4 General as well.

To the gurus in the house, at the end of my application, I saw the total cost as 487 USD. I can't understand how it comes up to that from 325 pounds that was stated on the GOV.UK website. Does this include some other charge? How much did you all pay? Can I use a naira card to pay via my online platform? And at what point would I pay for the health surcharge?
Thanks

Hey @Phunmmiee, this request tough o. I've been trying to see how best to respond cos I know number 1, PMs are discouraged here, especially when the question might help someone else on the thread. Besides, to start editing my PS will be hectic cos it has a whole lot of personal details. However, I finally found a diplomatic way of answering your question in a way that should still be of help.

Though I don't know your background (whether you're a fresh graduate, or with years of work experience or maybe you already even have a second degree), I will give some general ideas, most of which did not apply to me, then mention the few ones that did apply to me that I could write about in my personal statement. By the way, it's hard to write this without using 'you/your', so anywhere I use these words, I'm not necessarily referring to you as an individual.

So, what I see as a strong personal statement is that in addition to writing about how this new studies you want to go for will fit into your future career plans (a must in a personal statement, strong or not), look at your academic, extra curricular or work background, pick out the high points and write about them.

Example, in a group assignment in school, did your team get the 1st, 2nd or 3rd highest mark? Talk about the role you played that helped the group achieve that feat. Or maybe you presented for the group. That's leadership, write about it. Did you get an award, full or partial scholarship, or any form of commendation, even most improved student, talk about it. But whatever instances you give, let there be at least one that you have something like an official letter, photograph or certificate to show.

Did you ever do a voluntary job, perhaps you participated in executing a project, with an organisation? Even if it doesn't directly relate to your course of study, write about it because, imho, it shows a level of initiative and commitment to a chosen cause.

Or at anytime on your job or as a member of any structured club or society, did you, for example, lead a unit, were you nominated to go on a training (some trainings have group photos with names of participants), did you win staff of the month, week or even day because of the way you discharged your duties? Write about the experience. Did you get a promotion? Or commendation, which doesn't even have to be from the MD or chairman cos one from your branch or unit head is just as fine, write about it. As I said, let there be one or two that have documentary evidence to show.

In mine, one and a half pages, I talked about:

*the one and only promotion I got on the job in nine years (included promotion letter)

*the biggest account I was able to win for my branch, tough as it was winning it (I made sure that my unit head mentioned it in the reference letter he wrote for me and I included it in my visa application)

*the fact that I went back to school (part-time) while working full time, to get a postgraduate degree (included certificate and transcript) and lastly,

*the period I was picked at some point in my career and at my relatively young age by my HR to be Acting Head of Operations, even though this lasted only for two weeks (included a copy of email sent to that effect)

*an academic excellence award I got that came with a partial scholarship.

So @ Phunmmiee, I really hope this gave an idea of what I meant by a strong PS. I'm at your service if you have any further questions.

It's normal when it looks like the standard timelines will be exceeded. I won't be surprised if you get your pick up email this week (around the 12th working day Mark.
Thank you.

No, not necessary. A cover letter might be needed if there are unclear parts of your application that you'd like to shed light on to avoid errors or miscommunication on the part the CEO.

No. For student visas, the source of funds in your personal bank account doesn't matter. Print from the day after the deposit when your opening balance is commensurate with the amount you are required to show.

That's the equivalent of £325 in dollars. The fees are usually converted to dollars at the point of payment.
Yes, you can use a Naira card as long as it's enabled for online forex transactions.
You'll pay the IHS fees before your visa fees. Once you're done with submission, the next task will be to choose your brp collection centre and thereafter you'll be directed to the IHS website after choosing your appointment date.
The steps are in the list of application to-do once you log into your account. Each completed task turns GREEN.

Thanks for explaining. I was skeptical because the conversion rate was way above normal. My conversion was about 420 dollars and not up to 487 dollars.

oga what makes you think I haven't done adequate research before asking such questions here? Sometimes people baffle me, well, I know sheffield hallam university, university of derby, no university in nottingham is as cheap as 10000 pounds. So stop feeling smart. I just asked incase someone here knows better than I do, because I saw someone saying he wants to pay school fees as low as 9000 pounds.

I applied for a priority visa with my son and husband as dependants. We had our biometric on the 30th of July 2018. On the 6th of August, I got a mail that my baby's passport is ready for collection. I picked his passport and he was given the visa. The problem now is that my passport and that of my husband is not ready. Am really worried because today is the 12 working day since after my biometric and am yet to hear from them.
