I couldnt stand working in the NICU and Peds. Sick babies make me so emotional cos they can't describe what they feel and the parents watch you like you wanna hurt their babies

If anyone is in a situation like this where they are asked to learn a different skill or one that they think is beneath them, I believe it to be a blessing.
The more and diverse skills you have, the more valuable you will be to a future employer and the more indespensible you are to a current employer. This mindeset saved me when the last recession hit.

Right now, I am over 40, spent more than 13 years working in the OIC industry here, so my thinking was do a start over with a progression plan so that in 20 years time, the kids are all grown and I still have a career at that age...its my belief most health care managers still work at that age,..who knows, one can even own a cae home by that time, by GOD's grace...I don't think I want to tie myself down to the rigourous work life of nursing either.. but right now, anyone that can pay the bills.. I am all for it...

Schools I looked at were Augusta University, Augusta Technical Colege, Adelphi University, Rutgers University and Georgia State University. I was doing estimates based on international students fees...hope I was on the right track...

Constructive argument is good and healthy for the mind but it becomes poison when it turns into personal attacks.

I am an American on a US thread, asking a US related topic.
I thought it was a legitimate topic.
I asked people here who I have had some correspondence with because I sorta trust them better than asking other random people.
I came back to this thread again because I felt like it was more like a community and I missed corresponding, helping others, and learning myself also.
I do not know it all, never claimed to, I have shared what I know and my experiences under both monikers here to empower people here who are presently in the US and who are coming and to help them save time and energy.
I have even at times asked questions and shared links that I thought that others could benefit from.
Dont worry, I will change ministries.
