Like other have said, you are in the right place and should endeavor to read previous pages. Reading from page 1 is not too much of a ask.

You should look to write GRE BY Nov to meet the deadline of December 15th for some schools. 3 months is enough for adequate preparation if you are not too busy with work and other things. You should aim for minimum of 160 in your Quant. You should also be prepared to write TOEFL.

Finding the right schools for you is one of the most crucial aspects of the application process and it is a task best undertaken by you. So, start researching. The good thing is that Mathematics is well funded at PhD level and to a lesser extent for Masters.

Recently, a friend told me about funding in US university for international students which I was ignorant about, though I have been searching for such for a while now. Missed out on African Institute for Mathematical Science last year, re-applied this year and not gotten any response yet. To cut the long story short, I just need advice on how to go about schools I can pick and some other tangible information that would be beneficial.

Degree: BSc
Course: Mathematics
Thesis: Semi-analytic Solution of Magnetohydrodynamic Flow of a Third Grade Fluid through a Porous Medium( My supervisor promised to publish it as a local journal but I doubt if he did cos it's like 2yrs now)

You know, I used to ask this same question, too, and you know what? It made me procrastinate, it made me believe abroad studies wasn't meant for someone like me. So if you keep asking and wanting to know just how much, you might never get involved or know. I followed closely this thread and the other VISA thread last year, and I never dared to take any steps. But right now, I am on a mission.

Though a rookie, my advice is this: take a step, start the process. Of course you'll need to spend lots of money even when you don't see any lying around, but I tell you, miracles do happen, and there are ones that happen in the form of everyday people, and I know I read some inspiring stories on here. So just take those steps, one after another, and you will be surprised how far you will go. Sheybi there are no sponsors with several millions now, in your walk you'll get to a stage where sponsors will have no choice but to show up; those people you think don't have millions will, all of a sudden, have mini-millions, and several mini-millions sum up to millions

First off, you'd need to retake the GRE. There are loads of materials here on this thread. You could start gunning for fall 2019 like most applicants here.

There are full rides for chemistry with comes as a research or graduate assistant.

But first, the GRE needs to go really higher.

I looked back at the two questions I asked here and it's hard not to feel embarrassed. I mean, all of the answers were just lying everywhere on the thread.

I literally feel like I know most of you already by following your stories from the days of your GRE and TOEFL, your test days, expectations, disappointments, your acceptance in various schools, visa interviews and how you're coping in the country of study. Like I already said, I am very glad for the experience.

I am writing the GRE in October, and I haven't read jack. I will start classes on Monday that'll run six weeks for the GRE and four weeks for the TOEFL (all done together). I already went through the materials I got from B.Y Mafit and I don't know how to feel - confused? scared? worried? I don't know.

Please, I need as much encouragement as possible. If there are other people who are applying for Fall 2019 who haven't written the GRE yet, please say something as I'd need as much motivation as possible. In fact, let's motivate each other.
