This new restaurant chain should continue to expand into key SE and SS cities and also have a presence in Lagos and Abuja.

A potentially great name in quality places to eat "Five-Star Restaurants"

Chino,
I know these are great pictures, but please lets post only recent pictures of new developments here. I agree they are great pictures of Onitsha, but they have already been posted too many times on several threads.

Repeating 3 years old pictures kill enthusiasm in the thread.

Mini ndi/mini nbi not Ofe/ohe

Similarity in language does not make a smaller group part of a larger one.
The "Ofe" he meant here is not the "Ofe" as in "soup" rather he was making reference to "side" which in some other Igbo dialect is called "Ohe".

I would not mind cutting trees if we had a culture that understood and appreciated the importance of trees in purifying the air and reducing the effect of erosion and wind damage.

The tragedy of the SE today is that nobody plants trees anymore, yet the few trees that has kept the region from being blown away by winds and kept our environment health with clean air are rapidly cut and removed. That is the tragedy of the SE today.

If we could only plant more trees, removing old ones for development projects wouldn't have mattered.

We have completed this building and now painting. The problem is that people around said the tree is an evil specie known as 'Ogirishi' and because it has evil connotations, we should cut it down, if not people will blame every tragedy in the compound to the tree.

Useless frustrated jobless hopeless old fool. Just like in Delta we have Igbos in Rivers. Igbos in Ogbaru in Anambra are not different from Igbos in Ndoni in Rivers state.

Incidentally i was with gov Wike in the meeting with Davido yesterday at the Bricks House, afterwards his younger brother who's a personal friend brought me close to the gov and he never used any English language the entire 2 minutes we greeted. He spoke very fluent Igbo language just like Odili.

Meanwhile i am in PH now, where are you holed up? It will be my honor to meet you this weekend.

They need to build more high rise building in Onitsha. It would have made the first picture even more gorgeous.

I like the last picture on page 42 but that ugly fence just ruins everything!!! We gotta do better guys. Awka is going to turn out to be one of the most beautiful town in Nigeria but it will take some time. Obiano is bent on cleaning up the environment but this of course will not manifest over night. Obiano makes big noise about tree planting but I have seen much effort from him. Sad and very frustrating ,especially coming from a man that lives in Spring Cypress suburbs in Houston.

Last picture is very beautiful. I love lush green scenery with beautiful homes. Makes me wanna sit down and read a Macbeth's classic. Our wicked leaders has really robbed us of a decent and a simple life.

Nice but will they be able to keep up with maintenance. Things like this should be left to private investors. I am sure Okigwe will not be able to generate enough revenue to run and maintain a sports complex.

I still maintain that our leaders only have little blame for the loss of vegetation. I've never lived in an environment without good vegetation because I do it myself without waiting for Government.

I just want them to maintain very high quality African, Continental and Chinese dishes.

If they can do that, they will swim in money soon as folks will associate their name with quality meals.

Not bad at all.

But truly, we should emulate international standard in everything.

If we can have American standard in our building code for road sizes, it will be better than the disastrous British standard that has caused tiny, bending and winding roads to ruin all our cities.

Well , you can plant grasses, weed and water them but a lot of beautiful trees you see in Europe or America takes years to grow and maintenance is very much involved. Some of these beautiful trees takes at least 10 years to grow into appreciable height. For instance, assumed Mbadinuju planted 10 million trees and groomed them and Ngige and Peter Obi did the same I will leave what Awka and Onicha would look like by now to your imagination. The set of people who lead us are the bottom of the barrel...ffuuck all of them, they should all be slaughtered!

Can we have signature, futuristic development, in collaboration with the private sector,

Once again I love what amosun is doing with some banks in the new abeokuta city centre project,

Too good I must say.
Can we take a cue.
