Just read what you wrote. Does anything there make sense?

Name one country in the world where government can choose to demolish a building with approved building plan without compensation. Does being a Nigeriamn mean impunity should be supported?
It takes people with sense to appreciate sensible comments hence the few likes grin

Sir you have valid points, though many still feel the building was erected because of political influence, however , since i don't argue about what am not certain of, i would want us to leave that aside...

by compensation , i was referring to the government compensating Ayefele; e.g with another building, or money, etc not the other way round. ..

He can be adequately compensated since the building was approved. .. he would surely win in a court of law, th this may take a while...

i sense you are affected by the development , it is a sensitive issue...

May God bless you sir !

And you too.

Yes I agree with appropriate compensation for Ayefele if the government decides to demolish his structure.

Funny enough I have no personal knowledge of or relationship to Ayefele but will never be a supporter of impunity in public office.

I have deliberately left out the much touted story of the flooring of Shittu by Sowore at the radio station as pure conjecture as it will be plain silly for the government to choose to close down the station over an argument between 2 politicians.

i believe the government is more mature than to demolish the building because of what happened btw shittu and sowore. ..

But then again who knows?

politics in Nigeria could be plain childish and vile sometimes

It's obvious you don't know much about this issue and are not willing to open your closed mind to enlightenment.

The case is already in court and Ayefele has secured a restraining order on the government's proposed demolition.

Saying that they enjoyed previous government sympathy is hearsay as I'm sure you don't have any evidence to prove that.

If you knew anything about law you would know that government can only demolish illegal structures without compensation. If they choose to continue with their nefarious plans, then they should be ready to pay compensation through their nose for illegal demolition as the building plan was approved.

Let's see if they will dare proceed with their plan when slammed with a potential 1bilion naira lawsuit.

But then again, this is Nigeria where precedent has already been laid for contravention of court orders so who knows?
