Many of the players are not fit. We have many players who played in world cup semi final and final. 2018 word cup ended July 15th and the league started August 11th. That was just about a month for the world cup players to rest. The last we came close to something like this was 2006/2007 season. Ronaldo and Rooney who went far had more time to rest and return to before the league started. That year, the world cup finished earlier and the season started later. We would have been better off if Valencia, Matic, Sanchez were fit to start. However, Bailly, Shaw, Martial have no excuse. Lukaku Pogba Young Lingard Rashford Lindelof Who played in the world cup are still battling for form. These players are suppose to be relying on such players like Val, Matic, Sanchez, etc |
