Gracy3535:Equation of reaction 4P + 5O2 --- 2P2O5 Using first principle. . 5 x 22.4dm3 of O2 ---- 284 of P2O5 y --- 35g Cross multiply.. 35 x 5 x 22.4= 284y 3920 = 284y y = 13.80dm3 Since oxygen contains 20cm3 by 100cm3 of air 20 --- 100 13800 --- x 20x = 1380000 x = 69dm3 or 69000cm3 |

Timil: NO But in Indy and Zik we still use hotplates. Porters normally go about checking our rooms once in every blue moon..Even when I was staying at Tedder, they were using hotplates.Don't know if they still use it now though. |

Re: UI 2018/2019 Admission Thread by Eben331: 3:57pm On Aug 20, 2018 |
Pls bosses in the house, help me with these questions. CHEMISTRY (1) As a supplification, adult human can be considered to have a daily diet of 180kg of carbohydrates with empirical formula CH20. What mass of CO2 does a person produce each day if all the carbohydrates eaten is digested and oxidized? (C=12, H=1, O=16) (2) The solubility of AgCl at 50^oC is 1.024 per 100g of solvent, and at 10^oC, it is 2.15g. Calculate the mass of silver chloride precipitated when saturated solution of 50g AgCl was cooled from 50^oC to 10^oC. (Ag=108, Cl=35.5) (3) In an insulated container, 50cm^3 of 2M of HCl is at 293K. After reaction, the temperature of the mixture rose to 307K. Calculate the enthalpy change of reaction. (c=4.2J/g/K) (4) During the electrolysis of CuSO4 solution using platinum electrode, 0.16g of copper was deposited on the cathode. Calculate the volume of oxygen gas liberated at stp (Cu=64, O=16) PLS SHOW YOUR WORKINGS!! |

Re: UI 2018/2019 Admission Thread by micskales(m): 5:29pm On Aug 20, 2018 |
Eben331:LET me explain the two calculations. firstly imagine a ladder 3m long laid down flat. Its weight 200N which is effective is 1.2m away from its bottom when u want to raise this ladder u have to raise it at the 1.2m i.e at the centre G. Now when u raise there, the force 200N has moved a distance of 1.2m so, W=f*s =240j.......but another force of 50N is acting at the top end, so if that also is raised vertically a distance of 3m has been moved by the force so..w =f*s =150J. Now total work =390j *** F-fr=ma 10-fr=10*0.2 fr=10-2, =8 But Coeff.fr = fr/mg =8/100 =0.08 fr = frictional force mg =normal reaction i.e mass * gravity |

those questions posted by Rursh were 100% correct i can attest to it. exactly that was how it was numbered 1-5, PLS Rursh post more physics and chemistry.I dont have money to purchase it but i am promising thAt i will indeed reward u one day maybe at ui. obarewonj@gmail.com that is my email . |
Re: UI 2018/2019 Admission Thread by TeflonBlixx: 6:23pm On Aug 20, 2018 |
Rursh: The question is from College physics. . Workdone = 3 * 50 + 1.2 * 200 = 150 + 240 = 390J Workdone required to lift the ladder through its length plus workdone required to raise it through its center of gravity The last question is also patterned after Newtonian law calculations in college physics. . Net Force = Ma Applied F - Frictional force= Ma 10 - Fr= 10 * 0.2 Fr = 8N U = Frictional force/Mg U= 8/100 U = 0.08 |
