MrniceG:Please why don't you take Lethbridge college instead, the application fee is $80cad and deposit before LOA is issued is $1000. Again its located in one of the best province and cities with lots of job opportunities |

What was the processing time when you applied?. Technically, your app would be 8 weeks by the 28th of August, if my calculation is correct? kceecool: |

Sorry, I should have posted the response from Lagos visa office. See response below: We write in reply to your email. As indicated on our website, the processing times provided are based on how long it took to process 80 percent of all applications during that time period and are subject to change. As these processing times refer to 80 percent of applications, some applications will fall outside of these timeframes. In addition, as they are an average, there will be some fluctuations in processing times at peak periods during the course of the year. That being said, please be assured that the application has been received and is in process. As soon as processing is completed you will be notified. Congrats bro...could redact your revised LOE and post here for the benefits of people in similar situation?. The LOE is a very powerful tool to address refusal or even head-on in an initial application. You will be doing this group a great service if you are able to redact your copy and post people to take cue and develop theirs. Congrats once more.... Wheyme: |

If you're re-applying, use this tool to confirm if your biometric is still valid https://onlineservices-servicesenligne.cic.gc.ca/extapp/bioStatusQuery Seems Canada really wanna reduce the pressure and stress we go through, they are storing biometrics for 10yrs

vivicintia:You should have written to them long time ago. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jnyuwa02: 7:25am On Aug 21, 2018 |
vivicintia:I simply meant those whose application were backlogged ( missed fall resumption) were later either approved or rejected. |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by bbclue(f): 8:03am On Aug 21, 2018 |
vivicintia:To my understanding if your acceptance letter is still valid till January.....they will issue you based on that... But if your acceptance letter is or has expire after September intake....and if cic want to approval your visa they will send you a message requesting for another new acceptance letter from the school of which they will give you time for it...... |
| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jnyuwa02: 8:05am On Aug 21, 2018 |
bbclue:A fall application is never valid till January. Usually give or take two weeks after resumption it expires. |

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by mightyola: 10:30am On Aug 21, 2018 |
I was pushing to resume in September, but they declined. I am to send a copy of my visa to the international office as of yesterday 20th of August, and since I do not have a visa yet, and I sent them an email pleading for more time till September, they only extended it till 29th of August. They sent me an initial email stating they wont push the 20th of August deadline for me, but someone later sent another email, giving me till 29th of August to send a copy of my student Visa. Are you a June online applicant? hotcakept2: |

Hello knowledgeable seniors. Will the officers at the POE be satisfied if carry around 1,000CAD as physical cash, considering that I'm being fully funded by the University? I have additional funds in bank account here in Ghana which I intend to accesa via atm once I reach Canada. I have already contacted the bank and confirmed that I can use the atm in Canada. |

jnyuwa02:You are not correct. Everyone should be encouraged to try their luck as such information may discourage some applicants from asking the school what may be possible.

| Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by jnyuwa02: 12:31pm On Aug 21, 2018 |
galala123:This is not a fall exclusive application. It is a fall/winter acceptance. Why would you think anyone here is discouraging anyone? |

kylexy61:Been offered a scholarship doesn’t mean you have no money of your own. Canada offers scholarship not based on need, but merits. Yes you can be in possession of $1k and maintain however money you have in your bank account anywhere. |
