United criticism is premature.

There’s been a lot spoken about in the press this week of how
Jose Mourinho could already be under pressure following the
Brighton loss. There is no more pressure on the coach than
before the season started, there will be agreed targets between the
club and the coach on what they should be achieving, one defeat
will not change them.

We’ve also seen a lot of negative and critical statements about
Manchester United lately. It is unfair to make comments such as
these based on one game, all of the successful winning teams in
the past have had some poor performances. It is very easy to
criticise, I often wonder if enough consideration has gone in to
negative remarks beforehand or does the “paymaster/mistress”
demand it?

Jose’s still the Right One.

Whoever is the coach at United is the right person for the job,
Jose is doing that the way he wants to. The players have to please
the coach and the coach has to please the owners, all are still in
their posts and they require our support until that situation
changes.

Each and every game is important for a variety of reasons, in
order to challenge for titles, you need to win at home and take
points from one’s title rivals, therefore of course it is important to
win on Monday evening against Spurs.

We are talking of top teams, not just one team. If Stoke City beats Chelsea, Barcelona and Bayern Munich, scoring more than each of them (like Inter Milan did) to win the champions league and you think Stoke is not an attacking side, then your meaning of attacking is so frail.
can u beat a team in football without scoring more than ur opponent?

You missed my point totally. What I’m trying to point out to you is that some of our fans on here can quickly label any manager useless. The same Pep they were idolizing last season, they bash him life comot in his first season. Take them serious at your own peril. So unstable.

Fergie is partly to blame for what United has gone through. He may be able to do much better with the players he left behind with some little additions, but most managers presently cannot. He overestimated these managers and probably a lack of football director too

Ah...i see!! At least thank God dem no talk say Mancini was better than SAF because he won the league.

I don't understand why anyone would want SAF to retire during that 12/13 season. A season that was being compared with the trebble winning season. The team sef was even compared to the class of 92 team.
Our defence was terrible that year but at least we still beat everybody. That season easily ranks in the top 5 best seasons we had under SAF.

For me sha, i never wanted the man to leave. Not when rumours of his retirement first surfaced in 2010 and not even when we finished last in our UCL group in '05. Na why his retirement pain me. More so that he left us with old, and useless players and appointed one mumu to succeed him.

This is what I've been saying!

Jose is the best coach in the EPL with impressive track record, internal and external!

Gave united 3 solid trophies in his first season with the club, how better could it get, you ungrateful fans!

Mournrinhoe now! Mournrinhoe forever!

Chelsea under DiMatteo outscored Napoli, Benfica, Barcelona and Bayern to win the CL that must mean Chelsea under diMatteo is an attacking side

Greece in 2004 Euro outscored France Czech and Portugal to win the Euro cup that must mean Greece us an attacking side

Lol.
Seriously I can relate as well. The delusion was the same offline especially after David moyes first league game against swansea which he won with either van persie or welbeck getting a brace if am not mistaken. They were like this among themselves "ah no tell you say baba don old na y we no win Swansea last season" referring to the previous season.

We came back from 3 goals down to beat Spurs 5-3 in 2001. They were our customer dada for so long, along with Villa i think.

SAF bowed out the same 2013 which means he knew it was time. If we remember correctly, the Glazers were leveraging on the man's ingenuity and his inside knowledge of the workings in the league and not improving the squad; which in turn was leading to depressing football on the pitch.

SAF did his best to surpress dissenting voices amongst the fans against the Glazers but evidences of tightened purse towards squad improvement grew larger. The club was in austerity mode, a mode they put the club in to begin with. Deep pockets were springing up in Manchester City, Chelsea and all over Europe; you don't think SAF must have thought of the downsides for him?

Cristiano Ronaldo sold for £80m+ who replaced him? Make-shifts all over midfield and defense. Robin van Persie was a parting gift and SAF knew exactly that it was time for him to go. Age and low investments were sure to lead to dents all over his record and personality. We all saw how really pissed he was at been unfairly ousted by Real Madrid that season, he was giving it his last real shot.

It was the end of an era for him and his legacy, he left when the ovation was loud enough even if not at the topmost pitch. For fans that wanted him gone, (and I can tell you that those sentiments were there even at Old Trafford) was to perhaps force the hands of the Glazers who only cared about banking profits. Now the activities on the pitch are more of interests to them because nothing is guaranteed anymore since SAF left and repeated failure will threaten their money.
