A Facebook user shared pictures of the deplorable state of Port Harcourt-Enugu Highway, a federal road.

It is observed by Naijadriva that over the years, that road has been abandoned by the government. The bad spots on this road starts Oyigbo section(Rivers State) to Aba, through Umuahia, which has the major section(Abia State), then Okigwe (Imo State) to Enugu.

For Example, It took about 20-30mins from Port Harcourt to Aba but due to bad road, it takes longer (1-2hrs depending on whether there is rush hours or not).

Some sections between Oyigbo, also called Aba Road (in Port Harcourt) to Enugu is bad.

Akpabio constructed most of the internal roads from boundary with Abia (worst State in South East Nigeria by governance), around Mpatak or Ukan afon to that boundary with Cross River.

Two roads am scared of. Odukpani and Ikot ekpene. I have to admit that ikot ekpene road is a federal one and it will be hard to make a move or dualize since the people of umuahia built their house on the road.

In as much as the present government has her share of the blame, have we forgotten that Jonathan campaigned with the road telling us it has been finished? I travel that road and it is always bad. Jonathan messed up big time with that road plus that of Enugu Onitsha.

Everyone know the Imo River - Eleme stretch is still a Nightmare
