I don't work in a bank but I have close friends who do, ranging from Auditors to Regional Managers. On this group we debated this very topic about a year ago, I went a step ahead to read the opinions of bankers and some embassy folks on Quora, I also did consult with my friends who are bankers, so I am well aware of what the legality of the issue is and what is the norm.

I know since these are reports from a third person, something could be amiss, but I also know to be careful when I hear the same story from various sources bothering on the same issue especially when they have nothing to gain and got hurt in the process. Even in the absence of these fears, what is expected of us is to have the amount we claim we do. I did mention that even if these stories turn out to be untrue, one thing for certain is that you can be issued an ADR for POF at anytime. So it is only wise to stay safe if you can, that is the mantra, that's all that you should be interested in.

Ofcourse I have not advocated that people should spend their pof, am just stating what I think is standard practice and the legality of the percieved action of embassies with regards to customer account statements at least as regards the Nigerian banking system.
It will be interesting to read from a Nigerian banker who gas a contrary opinion to mine. I mea most people I have seen having a contrary opinion to me dont work in the financial sector.
I'd like to hear a banker tell me he got such request from an embassy and it was honoured.

If you understand that divulging customer account information to third parties is criminal in the Nigerian legal system then you will take those reports of people alledging same with a pinch of salt.

I really would wanna hear a Nigerian banker not an Indian on quora tell me his bank divulges customer information to a third party wifhout a court injunction.

As a matter of fact when you enter a bank training school this is the very first thing you are taught.
If you compromise that a staff could go to jail sef depending on the dimension of the case.
An talking from the perception of a Nigerian banker.

I agree with the bolded because a few months ago when I needed an info of someone's account, I was only able to get it by pulling strings. The right channel inisisted it was illegal.

it is alright. me sef tire. I also feel they can only verify authenticity of the bank statement and that must be why they issue ADR for updated POF but ...

Good Morning House..

Kindly read through for those having worries on how to go about getting their WAEC results Verification as required by WES.

1. Get 2 Passport Photograph

2. Photocopy of your WAEC Result and 2 White Envelope

3. Go to the Lady Under a Bit opposite WAEC office in Yaba

4. Tell her you want an affidavit for WES Confirmation of Results ( I paid 3000)

5.You won't be allowed into WAEC office until it's 9am, once it's 9am move immediately to the Lady at the reception to pick up your tag and sign in

6. Proceed to 5th floor last room on your right (SED Results Room). Remember to knock before entering. Tell the man what you want to do.

7. He will Check your documents and staple them together with the envelope and a form. Fill the form and write your address WES Address and Reference number on one of the Envelopes.

8. You will be asked to proceed to 4th floor Room 1 to make payments of 10,000naira. Take the receipt back to room 8 on the 5th floor for confirmation.

9. The original receipt will be given to you to proceed with the customer service center down stairs and hand over to the Courier service for Courier Payment.

10. You will be required to pay 10,000naira if you are using FedEx to Canada.

I wish you all the best.

Thanks

Darlington
Thanks Bro.
I collected my original certificate from WAEC office 2 Ogba is it okay if I go to Yaba i.e. instead of Ogba? Hope it won't pose a problem?? & would I be attended to? Any insight on this??

You were on our sister thread sometime today asking about what it takes to be a teacher in Canada and how you haven't even gotten into the pool and yada yada yada and you came here out of silent reader mode to talk down on someone who has gone far in her application processing and contributed her quota to the benefit of the thread, telling her to respect the elders. Onye bu these elders bikonu? If there really is anything as an 'elder' as you people term it, then I think she has earned the right to be called one. What exactly did she say that was rude? I am still looking for it.

Wow...I'm done. I no fit again.
I wish y'all luck on this thread. I have lost the ability to can abeg. See y'all when you move over to the other thread. Please don't bring this 'liking quarrel pass fight' attitude over there. Thanks a bunchhhhes.

shocked shocked, the cost of transcript officially is 36720, then you'll pay faculty fee (1k for my faculty, I don't know how much yours will charge but shouldn't be too different). That's the amount you need to pay for transcript. After that, you'll pay 18,360 for verification if you're evaluating with WES. These fees quoted are for undergraduate transcript, I don't know about master's own.
Whether to evaluate both degrees is your decision to make, if EE purpose, only your masters degree is sufficient but you should consider evaluating your undergraduate degree too given that pharmacy is regulated profession, you'll need to evaluate your undergraduate degree for licensing purposes in the future if you want to practice, why don't you do both evaluation now?
thanks alot!...we talking about abu zaria here abi?

I believe you are mixing things up. " masters' evaluation is relative. For degrees that are professional e.g pharmacy and Law; it takes point higher than "two or more certificates, but for nonprofessional degrees like physics and business administration it counts for the " two or more certificates point".

This has to be corrected, a wrong info it is. Apologies. Definitely, an evaluated Masters program (in any discipline) equivalent to Canadian Masters carries the max point for Masters in the CRS rank (+136) of the FSWP.

Where did you get this information from? This is misleading! Master's is Master's whether in 'Yoruba Technology' and cant be given two or more certificate points.
