Exactly what I thought too about the changing from Chinese Rom to the Global Rom ....no OTA if you switch is that right? undecided

fibonacci2526:

You would have to find a way to go back to the original chinese rom if you want to get OTA updates, if not na so you go use without updates till you sell am or upgrade.

You will need to unlock bootloader and flash a fastboot ROM.

timilehing:
Yes. Is that new to you.?
I can do that with virtually any recent mobile camera, provided the light is abundant, you can't get that done in low light using even a DSLR without flash. Your shutter speed must be above 1/250s to be able to do that, and there's no moblie phone that can attain that in low light.

You would get OTA with Chinese rom or global rom(same update as global version), the only time you won't get any form of updates is if the seller flashed a FAKE/SHOP rom.
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by bigtt76(f): 8:04pm On Aug 25, 2018
I'm on 30% last charged Thursday night Might be something you're doing wrong. May be a defective theme or something undecided I'm using the Oreo Theme and 2 SIMs running on 3G but phone is connected to wifi network

Clearer now meaning one need to be extra vigilant to avoid the Fake/Shop Rom installed RN5 undecided I prefer the Global Version then

Use sports mode and try grin. I just stubbornly did now, and expectedly the result is same, you can't capture a still blade because shutter speed I got was just 1/50s grin.

How do you rate a phone? Design? Hardware? Software?

ALL:

1. Performance [not a serious/heavy user, no gaming, no movies, no Instagram on phone, I do more of mails, PDF downloads, and surfing] Performance for me includes the 'add-ons', excellent camera, display quality, pixels, pixels, more pixels please!

Small but mighty [I would probably pick a 4-inch phone with a 500 ppi over a 6.5 inch with a 300 ppi]

2. Design: aesthetics.

3. Above all, budget! shocked owo ni koko bruv

If you updated through OTA, backup and factory reset or download the rom manually and flash .

And port to a stable network

Which top OEMs? Name 3
lol!!! By your post u want us to belief Tecno is top OEM? Just open Nigerians eyes to the truth and you will see Tecno disappear from the list. For me I respect cubot, umidigi, ulephone, oukitel and co more than tecno by all means, because they are not producing shit for 100million people does not put them in the league of Tecno in terms of quality, innovation, great device etc.

I think the Glo network is the ish! I'm experiencing the same, your SOT is even better; mine is just 4hours at 8% although on 9.6.2.

Change your network and see the difference. I dey vex with MTN, would have change too.
