Unlock bootloader, download TWRP for your device, boot into TWRP via fastboot, flash the camera API zip file and no verity zip file, then install gcam.

... I used the method for max 2. It's same for all xiaomi devices. Only difference is to get the recovery.img file and the no verity zip file of the specific phone type

Yes! To install Gcam, what you'll need do is to add a certain line of code to your build.prop. You can do this manually by editing from a file manager but you'll need root access to do this. The only way to proceed without root is to flash with twrp(cam2api) zip or you flash through Adb while your phone is in fastboot.

I read somewhere that the pocco is not a 100 percent xiaomi device. Seems like a brand trying to start up under xiaomi brand name or something like that.

It is a xiaomi sub brand, like honor is a sub brand of Huawei, same with realme and oppo.
