Oga there is no way you can spin this, the East will not vote yoruba presidency before an Igbo presidency, this is a fact we all know. You people have insulted bragged too much by making it clear you'll never support Igbo presidency.

This is the equation for presidency.

Yoruba vs North+East

Yoruba vote yoruba = fail
East and North vote North + East = win

We've seen this situation in Awo vs Shagari.

This is practical politics without sentiments we are sorry yoruba have taken their turn, if they can't wait or clamour for Igbo to also have their shot. Then let almajiri rule till una get sense. Shikena. No hard feelings bro.
grin

Are you aware that just 6years ago ACN was the single voice of opposition to PDP?

Tinubu single handedly displaced PDP from SW.

Lagos - ACN
Ogun - ACN
Oyo - ACN
Osun - ACN
Ekiti - ACN
Ondo - Labour

Yoruba has a playbook for opposition and we invented the model.

You did not vote for the APC and you are still destructive and antagonistic against the FG and the APC, but you still want power and presidency handed over to you on a platter of gold.

What about the SW? They should not benefit from their votes, hard work and strong participation?

Yes that is the only way. Just like in 1999, head or tail the ballots yielded a Yoruba. Please don't also forget that the Yoruba did not take part in voting the PDP in 1999 but had the guts to claim the presidency after OBJ was crowned. Remember the famous statement from one of the sons of the SW who said that PDP was implementing Afenifere agenda. So if it is about reaping where you did not sow please don't go there.

You can't stampede the East into doing your bidding, it has never worked, will never work. Trying to do so will always make you frustrated, the East have not argued with you about the possibility of Igbo presidency. Even the IPOB you hate agree with you on the the irrelevance of Igbo presidency (albeit to your chagrin cheesy ).

The issue is will a yoruba ever be president before an Igbo?
Who will vote yoruba when faced with northern heavyweights?

Is it the north who will always vote their own Tambuwal or Markafi over yoruba? cheesy

Or the Igbos who they keep mocking over the presidency? cheesy

Or the SS whom they keep refering as Drunks, militants and they voted against their son GEJ, calling him 'otuoke fisherman', jonaadaft etc?

You see my brother, this na serious dilenma so. yoruba presidency is no longer feasible. Maybe opposition is your lifelong calling. cheesy

So let us put our hands together and ensure the North rules for the next 50 years so that naijerriya can be powerful and developed than America. grin

I don't know why people are losing sleep over this 'Igbo presidency' issue. The matter is very simple, if yoruba can't wait for the Igbo to take their rightful turn regardless of party and vote an Igbo man even after the East voted OBJ, then they should all be ready to let the North rule forever.
yoruba presidential candidature in APC will be challenged by political heavyweights from North+SE+SS.
yoruba will vote yoruba, but North will vote their own, SE and SS (who have always voted in the same pattern) will definitely not vote a yoruba candidate who wants to greedily eat their cake and still have it.
Yes, yoruba greed will not be authenticated with votes from the Eastern region. It is either the East takes their turn or yorubas be prepared for almajiri rule till nigeria breaks.

There will be no elected yoruba president before an Igbo president, yoruba have taken their turn and must repay by supporting an Igbo president the way Igbos supported OBJ whether they like it or not. This is not by shouting about some fake 'yoruba political wisdom or sophistication'. It was not yoruba political wisdom that made OBJ president. Other nigerians made OBJ president.

It is simple logic that I don't lose sleep over. Let a yoruba candidate come out and test my analogy on election day. Let see how he wins with north voting north, and East voting against their greed and insult to Igbo land.

Shei the presidency has become a birth right that should be allotted to the Igbo ethnic group out of 250 above ethnic groups that made up Nigeria abi.

U think obasanjo just became president by accident abi, the Abiola struggle (June 12) facilitate it. If not it could have been a hot contest from all group, shei u remember 1999 presidential election was purely a Yoruba affairs. In case you don't know.

Your analogy does not hold water at all, bcoz you voted for PDP when obasanjo contest now, the new political platform at the centre has a personal arrangements. You don't expect a group(Igbo) who was partially involved in the political formation of APC to be crown the next King because she felt she has been marginalized. Politics still remains a game of numbers, negotiation, alliances and that can never change.

So my brother from other region this is what you guys lack, as a group, i know u will insult me regarding this comment but that is just the bitter truth.

Don't bother to call me name i am a confirm Yoruba Man. And I am proud to be.

The Igbos need to determine what exactly they want. They pass out contradictory messages too much.

They say they want Biafra or nothing.

In this report, they are worried that Presidency may not come their way in 2023.

They say they don't need the Presidency to develop.

They say they don't want APC, that APC will lose in 2019 and yet are worried about APC's choice for the Presidency in 2023.

Confusion!
It is elites that want president not the masses

The bolded is best known to them who hold on to a past that others have well moved on from.

With time, the arrogance in them will be overcome by the humility they vehemently detest.

Everyone who embraces a politics of widespread consultation among the diverse tribes of the country is mocked as a slave, yet they want the presidency while berating everyone who hold the numbers to vote for them, even going as far as berating any of their own kin who is not clannish and stand a better chance at appealing to the support of a diverse electorate.

The North will not vote PDP in 2023 over an APC candidate who'll come from SW no matter who the PDP presents, especially when Buhari will be the face of the campaign in the North! The North will never support whoever is affiliated with the IPIGs (& people like Fani-Kayode & Fayose who brazenly insult their region & religion) even if the person is a northerner like them. That's how bad they hate the IPIGs & these guys I mentioned. Same with the SW! So stop consoling yourself with Tambuwal or Markarfi because them be your party members!

Ethnicity and religion have come to stay in nigerian politics forever. There will be no MKO situation of muslim-muslim ticket anymore. That's why I laugh at Tinubu thinking he can be president.

If he chooses a northern Christian candidate as VP, the core muslim north will abandon him, if he chooses a northern muslim as VP, it will be seen as brazen Islamization, the SE+SS+ Northern christians+ Northern muslims in opposition party will vote against him.

I have always maintained that with current political atmosphere and ethno-religious awareness, it will almost impossible for a yoruba muslim to be president, even the chances of an Igbo presidency is brighter. You do the equation.

You're having the same self-delusion that caused the same self-disenfranchisement you created in 2015. The greatest threat to Igbo presidency has always been Igbos! They felt their blackmail will work on others but that's self-deception.

It's grossly immoral for Ndigbo to imagine APC give them the Presidential ticket in 2023! They need to give APC at least 2 Million votes to stand any remote chance of being considered.

Remember, you reap what you sow!

If IBO can support APC & advise their people to stop the insult of Hausa & SW, PMB will hand over power to them in 2023. Saraki statement is a deceit to win IBO sympathy. I've really struck raw nerves with the truth that I have projected.

Shouting 'Igbo will never be president' angrily won't change yoruba presidential fortunes. Heck even IPOB realists agree with you that 'Igbo will never be president, that's why they've told the East to boycot future elections. So tell us something new. cheesy

The issue is can the 'sanctimonous, sophististicated ever-preaching' yoruba be elected president before the Igbo? We all know it is not gonna happen. The power-loving north will rule till the country disintegrates as we all know heaven will meet earth first before a yoruba will defeat Atiku, Tambuwal or Kwankwaso.

Afterall yorubas have always agreed that Kano and kaduna are more populated with voters than Lagos and Oyo. So there should no lamentation in yorubaland when 5 million voters are recorded in Kano for Tambuwal or Markafi against 1 million in lagos and Oyo combined for Tinubu. grin grin

#Hardfacts

Where did you learn this elementary politics ur teacher is an half-bake oo, So in 1993 when M.K.O Abiola beat Tofa Bashir mercilessly in the north, a original northern for that matter. Even in Tofa State. Even baba OBJ beat late Abubakar Rimi, Solomon Lar, Sen Barnabas Gemade in PDP primary with wide margin, he still end up to beat Buhari even in the North. So what is ur point na.
