Depends on your preference. If you can handle a big size phone you can go for max 2 otherwise you should go for note 5 cos the max 2 can be a challenge to hold and operate at times especially with one hand.

Even if you buy iPhone x. As long as you expose it to moisture Eg you allow it to get wet without removing it from the silicone case and cleaning it properly before replacing it, the wear mark will come on the iPhone x.

From time to time, try to remove your phone from the silicone case and wipe it clean....
