Go and do speed test between note 5 and max 2 then come back. I don't get the hype with this SD 636
What's there not to love about the SD 636. It's a mid-range processor which is only slightly less powerful compared to the SD820 (a 2016 high-end processor) on paper. It deserves all the hype as it is only bested, in the mid-range segment, by the SD660 and SD710 (I beg to disagree placing this in the mid-end processor section tho).

why note 5, knowing that mi max 2 is higher in price?
Why note 5?
Here's why....
Cheaper, modern design, better camera, better chipset, comfortable usability,....
That's why.

Even if you buy iPhone x. As long as you expose it to moisture Eg you allow it to get wet without removing it from the silicone case and cleaning it properly before replacing it, the wear mark will come on the iPhone x.

From time to time, try to remove your phone from the silicone case and wipe it clean....

There's no wear mark on the iPhone X for people using a case. It is stainless steel, not aluminum.

redmi note 5 and mi max 2 which is more preferable?

Mi Max series is for people that prefer very big phones and should only be compared with phones that are borderline tablets.

Even if Note 5 had SD450, i would still go with the Note 5 for portability sake.

They are very comparable...... Every individual has a budget and some people don't like constant OTA updates....

The present design + form factor, no get rival..... Copy and paste at its finest......

If I was offered 2 devices today...... Xiaomi Redmi or Umidigi One Pro?

Zero competition...... Umidigi wins hands down....

People who don't like constant OTA updates would turn off updates na undecided

That being said, i'd probably only take the One/One Pro over the low end Redmi Note 5A or Redmi 6A

My black xiaomi note 5 have some wear marks on the back, I bought it last month and I use the silicon case. Is this peculiar to other black xiaomi note 5?
it's the silicon case you are using , get a leather case or tpu rubber case the one that came with the phone

Better performance in terms of what pls? See I have placed this two phones side by side and i know what I'm saying. On the max 2 if you like you can minimize your app and leave for 24hrs, reopen you will still meet it there. Try dat on the note 5 if it will not force close. I agree the note 5 is better in terms of camera and slightly faster. And gcam even compensate for the camera on max 2. You can't sit somewhere and just assume there will be much difference between 636 1.8hz and 625 2.0 hz

Xiaomi launched their Pocophone F1 in Kenya and not Nigeria

Seems they're not ready for the big step up and they don't want money yet.

Them suppose come chase Tecno and Infinix comot naija for us and you can bet they'll do that if they come here

A couple of years back Xiaomi attempted entering the Nigerian market via partnership with Jumia or so (correct me if am wrong) but the deal didn't sail thru.

You & I know the Nigerian factor was definitely involved. Maybe after considering how many palms they'll need to grease in addition to other logistical & bureaucratic bottlenecks that is unique to our business environment they changed their mind.

So have it at the back of your mind that it's Nigeria that doesn't want to step up

Probably so but Kenya is equally corrupt

Maybe they're planning for the future.. They could have used social media too though but I'm sure they're coming back

I think Nokia and Blackberry did themselves in with their respective OS of choice.

No Android brand is to blame for being an alternative.
