Also, Just discovered this morning that what i have is a letter from OAU, i have gotten my transcript though, must I go for the ''certificate''? or i can submit with this letter(in form of to who is concerned? Thank you Sir

You face a stiff odds of justifying that you will be a genuine student with a 10 year study gap. You also face significant odds going for a graduate certificate when a more logical academic progression and serious academic endeavor is a masters degree.

I face a barrage of SOP vetting and regrettably currently not disposed. You can try finding other people here to help you. I will recommend a masters degree if you have second class upper and above.

Positions for graduate students in Systems Biology are now available in my research group. I am interested in recruiting high-caliber graduate students who have expertise in the areas of my research. Top-tier control and systems, computer science and applied mathematics students who are self-motivated and have publications in relevant scientific journals are encourages to apply.

If you go back a few pages you will see some. Thing is Canada thread is very active so a few days back may be several pages behind. I know I saw some attachments like that within the last week.

Hello. I'm new here
I applied for study permit on June 12th, biometrics done June 13th, since then no update
I sent them a webform on August 27th. I got an e-mail from Lagos Immigration this morning. Please what does it mean?

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Nobody: 12:19pm On Aug 29, 2018
It means a decision concerning your application would be determined any moment from now. An OPTIMISTIC me would be getting set to do my medicals if I didn’t do upfront medicals and if I did, I would be looking forward to booking my flight ticket.
It would end with praises. Congrats in advance.

APPROVAL ALERT

Sorry this is coming late. I've also been an observer on this thread as well. i was supposed to share with the house but i've been very busy lately plus i wanted to hold the visa in my hand first to see for myself..lool (because CIC people are always surprising us) but after i saw what @mackano wrote i decided to just sharing pending the arrival of my passport.

Program- MBA
School- University of New Brunswick

Timeline.
i applied on June 9th
Biometric letter came in June 13th
Biometric done June 14th at VFS Lagos
Medical request August 14th
medicals done August 17th at IOM ikeja
medicals updated to pass August 19th
Passport request August 23rd
Submitted my Passport August 24th at vfs and i was told to cexpect it in 5-10 working days of which im currently waiting for at the moment

Documents submitted:
My Dad's SOA because he is my sponsor (sufficient one)
1.My transcript,
2. BSC certificate,
3. letter of sponsorship signed by my dad,
4.WAEC result,
5 Call to Bar Certificate and CV,
6. SOP (the SOP i used was the one i wrote for my school in other to get admission there, i did not know i was supposed to write a different SOP for Visa,
7. Admission letter,
8.Acceptance deposit of 1k (i did not pay tuition before applying)and passport bio data page.

i finished uni in 2015, then i went to law school, finished in 2016, finished NYSC in December last year (2017) and as that time i submitted my application i was not working then (unlike now). All in all i forgot to submit a lot of things like police certificate and all, i did not even put home ties or submit any information on my siblings or any other thing. when i joined this thread i discovered i did not submit a whole LOT of things and my application looked watery to me and i was scared cause a friend who is an agent did my application for me for free so i was getting jittery.

But regardless i believe that it was just God that helped me out because i was already losing hope. To all the TRV hopefuls it will definitely end in praise. this last week of august will not pass anyone by. there shall be no denials or deferrals just positive vibes only. Thanks to everyone that contributed in this group, i've really learnt a lot.

@jibola, Ralph Daniels, Onyi, Dami, Ruth and Florence, kingfintan it will definitely end in praise

Congrats!!

Please, when did your eligibility reveiw start? Can you remember?

Please use this link

https://www.vfsglobal.ca/IRCC-Appointment/

You would have to first set up your email and details (sign up) as you have them on your passport after which you can now book the appointment.

Yes, biometric would be done the same day. Cost as at when I submitted N55,520 (total in all).

Hello Nairalanders,

I was discussing with a friend yesterday about Canada express entry and she said that its possible to enter into the pool ( express entry) while your study application is still ongoing. I beg to differ.

Is it proper or advisable to do that?

goingforward.

It is possible but a friend here had an issue. His study visa was refused and one of the issues upon receipt of Case Notes was that he had multiple EE applications which presupposes that he does not intend to stay in Canada temporarily!

I hope this helps

Make Google your best friend, google search for Gcms notes and go with the most reputable site you can find. There are several sites that this site does not recommend, but they work.
