Was inside dolphin estate no request on both apps suddenly one entered I tap the screen immediately, saw 12 minutes.
I didn't bother myself after some time the rider called and ask their usual annoying question 'oga where are you'?
I replied good afternoon maa, she didn't respond and next she asked me why I accepted her request and didn't call her. I just kept my cool and asked her where she is, she said she is at Osborne foreshore.
I asked where is going to she said she is not going far that her destination is force road.
Me spend my time and fuel to turn round Lagos for that short trip, I was thinking of what to say so she will be angry and cancel the request.
I now said but maa there is no law that says the driver must be the one to call, that there is a reason my number is there.
Her anger increased as I can see from the way she was talking, she said every other driver come to her place from there.
In fact that she will cancel, I just smiled and waited for my fee.

"Usual annoying" ?? Na wa... So wetin we suppose ask? What planet are you?

Call to let the driver know where your are and not where the driver is. It is the driver coming to pick you up and not the other way round. Then simply ask how many mins it will take him to get to you.

The driver already knows where the rider is. If the pickup location is different from what d map says, I believe the rider will mention it.

I'll rather ask where the driver is and do the time estimation myself than ask how long it'll take to get here. So I disagree that the question is annoying.

Mind you, not all riders properly use the gps function of the phone. Some even input a totally wrong street while others a wrong pick up point. Some will be at ikeja and be requesting ride from a point in mushin, meanwhile mushin was suppose to be their supposed destination. If you've driven on uber you would have seen all sorts

Your Earning on Uber with 1.1 promo and taxify lite is the same after commission, and Uber even pays better in traffic than taxify lite, plus more request on Uber than taxify. And most rider on Taxify now chose something lite. #working Smart.

Gbam! Just the right way it's meant to be.
It's always annoying when they call and ask where you are. I usually keep quiet after the question then ask them where they are. It sounds rude to me as if they are talking to their personal driver

I see no reason why a rider should also ask for the driver's location cos the information (eta) needed is on their app too. It's just that most are not enlightened, they should be able to locate you on their app if they look closely.
