Please, Is the interest on stanbic's mmf added daily ? And is the interest invested back with capital ? If yes then how often ? Monthly ? Quarterly ? |

Yem0350:DO naira cost averaging. Set a specific amount to invest every month. You will be buying at the high the low and the middle. When you average your cost of ownership it will lower than if you purchased only at the top |

Buffalowings3:At what unit price did you buy it and what is the current unit price of the money market fund? Since Jan till date, it has been #1. I am not a marketer, but wonder how your money market fund keeps depreciating with a constant #1 unit price. |

Buffalowings3:Bro, Can you check which ARM fund you are invested in. I know the have over 4 different funds. The Aggressice growth, ethical fund, money market, discovery fund, etc. The prices of all these funds go up and down except one: the money market fund. You shouldnt lose with that once except if there is something shady going on. That is not normal or expected. Check well and advice us. Maybe u were wrongly subscribed for the wrong fund also. |

Nope, you can't loss your money on MMF unless otherwise, You must get daily interest, it may be low or lower sometimes depending on the market but your capital will never depreciate. Buffalowings3: |

moneywoman74:Yeah thanks It is AGF part of the portfolio that lost money. |
| Re: Mutual Funds by unite4real: 9:37am On Sep 04, 2018 |
Buffalowings3:i did this ARM AGF from 2008 to 2014. A whole 6 years and as at 2014 my fund never grew above my initial principal. I bought at N20 per unit in 2008 and in 2014, the price was N13.8. I liquidated and used the money to buy bond and it has been profits since then. my fund has compounded to double since then. wisdom is profitable to direct |

How do I calculate daily interest for stanbic ibtc mmf. I know their daily score is about 11%. But I still don't get how to calculate their daily added interest. I was calculating 11% of 40000 = 4400 ![]() Then realized am greedy |
| Re: Mutual Funds by jujutom(m): 9:48am On Sep 04, 2018 |
lgboks:Looolz.... dat 11% is per year... so per month is like approx 1% which will translate to 90-100 per day depending on how much u hv |
| Re: Mutual Funds by irookie(m): 11:44am On Sep 04, 2018 |
lgboks:Lolllz....once calculated it like that too..how we wish.. you need to further divide the 4400 by 365 (nos of days in a year) so it will be around N12 per day. Hope this helps |
