Joel Obi really balled in the midfield for Chievo today (his first start), against Empoli. I hope he and Onazi translate their respective weekend showings to the Eagles against Seychelles.

I wonder why our players are finding it increasingly difficult to transfer club form to the National Team. Seriously, it baffles me.

Our woeful WC showing is a testament to this. I know its been 2 months now but me....after all the hype and money sad angry

Henry Onyekuru will be the first Super Eagles player to touch down in Seychelles according to the NFF. He will be joined by Ezenwa and the accompanying official local based crew from Nigeria.

Samuel Kalu is easily the player that witnessed the most progress and climb of Nigerian players within the last 2 years. He is only 21 now. Hoping for the likes of K.Nwakali, Awoniyi, Osimhen, Chukwueze and co to make such giant leaps within the next two years.
Kalu's rise is quite unreal and rapid. Great for the Super Eagles and great for the lad.

so bros based on current form if they keep onazi and billing you will take the former? nawaooooo! saying that we have enough cm/dm signifies that you don't want the team to have enough depth in the cm midfield position. even if our cm/dm position if filled up with so much talents, having this kid will be a plus. if aplayer like mikel agu can get a chance in the current eagles team i seeno reason why a more talented billing wont be able to fight for a shirt in the super eagles

CHELSEA ACCEPT LIVERPOOL’S OFFER FOR DOMINIC SOLANKE

2 months ago 34,861 reads 2 min read
Michael Regan/Getty Images Sport

Liverpool have finally agreed a fee with Chelsea for Dominic Solanke, a year after he left the Blues, as reported by the Echo.

The fee will remain undisclosed, although it seems a compromise has been met at a valuation between the £3m which Liverpool wanted to pay and the £10m that Chelsea were asking for.

Solanke had been in the youth set-up at Chelsea since 2004 but made just one first-team appearance for them before his contract expired.

Julian Finney/Getty Images SportJulian Finney/Getty Images Sport

He decided that a move away from Stamford Bridge was in his best interests and his decision seemed to be justified as he made 27 appearances for the Reds, albeit with most of those coming from the substitutes bench.

Chelsea and Liverpool have been locked in talks about the compensation for Solanke for over a year and it looked like the issue was about to be taken to the Professional Football Compensation Committee.

However, the two sides can now put the issue to bed and look forward to the rest of the summer transfer window.

It's relative sir. Someone may see his performance in the Atletico friendly as something. Or his showing in the little opportunity he got at club level as something.. but relatively speaking those can be said to be nothing. If I may ask, did you watch the Atletico friendly? It was just a mere friendly but any scout that haven't seen Nwakali play prior to the game will start to take special note of the boy. They would more than likely start to monitor his progress at club level. But sometimes in football, MAYBE in rare cases, some scouts will go by their gut feeling in a considerable short time.

komekn:

Nwakali has done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to justify a call up to the SE.

Look at players who have played in the championship and lower and performed, do you see any descending to the depths of anonymity and failure to go and play essentially U23's football as Nwakali has in Porto B.

That's demotion in real terms so after demotion a player is rewarded with national team call up.

Putting all biased sentiment aside is that not ABSURD for goodness sake.

So you are blind to see that we were talking this season huh? Who doesn't know about his run last season in Sturridge's and Origi's absence yet he achieved nothing worthy of note in all those appearances he made... He didn't ruffle feathers or make any headline unlike another we both know who took his chances even in cameos and made his mark on the EPL in his first senior season. But even at that, I am not talking 2017/2018.. I am talking 2018/2019... You just dey dodge dey go... Anyway, it is your talent.

For 2018/2019, Solanke has Zero appearances and has Zero impact as it stands. He also has not made the matchday squads so far this season. We still await that. Time waits for no man in football... What you did last season is quickly forgotten... Lol... Is that not what your mate, Komekn loves to say when deriding our indigenous-born Naija players based in Europe? grin

So until then, no bother me with this Solanke issue abeg... I am focused on active super talents like Nacho, Kalu, Awoniyi, Aina, Onyekuru, Iwobi, Ndidi, Ekong, Idowu, Etebo and many more super talented players and prospects who are available to us both capped and uncapped. No bring me to this Solanke channel again Biko... It is boring, unexciting and lifeless. Biko excuse me u hia... **Clicks**

I am just bursting your lies u know. grin

This season? After how many matches with a UEFA champions league finalist and world class team? Bhahahaha! grin

Walahi! You dey speak in tongues. grin

lol.. maybe we have different measurement of talent. some may be looking at finesse alone, passing range etc.
Even Usman Muhammed is a SPECIAL TALENT grin
komekn:

A youth player plays his first season of senior football in the Championship for Hull gets accolades as the best RB arguably he then goes to Torino and in no time is a starter.

What should we then call Aina, SUPER INCREDIBLE TALENT.

Lol... What about last season's full stats naa? Why you dey cowardly use stats from only opening four games of a new season huh? smiley

Why do just love to dodge the WHOLE TRUTH? Is it genetic for you to do so Egbon? wink
Without even checking their career stats, it is more than obvious that Billing is behind Etebo, Onazi and Ndidi in terms of experience, talent and exposure. And guess what... Stats do not tell the whole story right? So even judging by their individual attributes based on what we see and watch, I still maintain that Onazi, Etebo and Ndidi are way ahead of Billing. That is indisputable. Won't even argue it out.

Is he talented and a good prospect? Oh yes he is... But the truth is that we are not lacking in options in the CM and DM roles so bringing him in would only be to come increase our pool of quality options with eyes on the near future and long term also.

I brought Philip Anyanwu Billing to the attention of this thread even though I had known about him for a while before I mentioned him here many hundreds of pages back so I know I am right to say he is still behind our major options in those CDM roles but can be a good addition for us as he is still growing and young. His potentials are exciting but he is not Ndidi's mate.. not Onazi's mate... And certainly no mate of Etebo. Finito.

Hypocrite! You used this season stats to nail Solanke after just 4 matches but you don suddenly changed mouth telling me this season stats of just 4 matches no matter. grin

Now, who is the half truth master of all, two faced double standard fellow? Hmmm! grin na you na. grin

I see, your authoritarian personality will not allow you see your bias one sided oluwole chop I chop analyses ba! But makes you feel you be the alpha and omega hence anything wey you talk na em be final, ba!. grin

Next time use one si u measurement standard to analyse save oluwole chop I chop misyan analyses.

How long did it take Ndidi to show himself in the EPL? 100 years?

Somebody wey no even reach how many months in his first season in EPL wey don dey win MOTMs upandan yet you want me to believe if Phillip does the same or more this season as he is already doing with MOTM performance, he is still behind Onazi, Ndidi and Etebor according to your statement 'time waits for no man in football' and one you concurred with 'i get am before no be property.' grin

You see your life so? Talking with two sides of your mouth everytime. Hahahaha hahahaha! grin

Mister! If Billing continues to add goals to his cabinet with consistent MOTM performance, I am sorry, I will easily drop any of the trio for him because that is what coaches want in their various teams. Gbam! grin

We are not lacking in CM/DM yet your coach dey fear to substitute one of the 'so many' in against Argentina at the world cup.

Mister! Are you aware Ogu even dey team? I will drop him for Phillip life and direct.

The little I saw yesterday was enough to tell me he will not remain in that club for long if he continues that way. The boy is good, and he is attack and defensive minded.

No mind that chap, he doesn't know what he is talking about when he said we have enough CM/DM. If you ask him who can come in for the trio in a game we need energy, na Ogu em go tell you. grin

At billing age obi was balling at inter Milan even onazi balling at lazio

I will only pick billing because those 2 have not been playing well for the eagles.

But I know Nigerians won't agree with my opinion, once player na oyinbo na automatically good for Nigerians eye.

Anyway at least the Sareen Bazee noise has been slowed down on this thread.

If you watched Billing and watched those two you won't be saying this

Billing gives you COMPOSURE ON THE BALL, CONFIDENCE and CONSISTENCY

Which is miles away from what you get with Onazi and Obi

N.b football is about the here and now not past achievements

oga stop that insinuation abeg. every nigerian is equal whether european born or not. na only myopic minded fellows will pick onazi, joel or even ogu ahead of a younger a and better billing.

as for bazee, the guy have been so unfortunate with injuries but that doesnt rub off his qualities. he was ever present for hanover during preseason and was in good form as well but prior to the end of their training tour he broke a toe. will be back in couple of weeks time

Truth is he may never get to play. He stands a good chance to play though against Saudi Arabia.

.That's what I'm talking about..
If he gets to play then we will know that Rohr saw something special in him..And if he impresses then it's likely he will get another call up .

But if he doesn't get to play, then we can conclude that his invitation was merely to please some people.
