NEPA Certificate
As long as we elect leaders with NEPA certificates, I'm afraid the future appears bleak.

Evidence of failed leadership.

Imagine our rulers called leaders stealing money their 7th generations cannot spend.

You hear billions of Naira embezzlement stories.

Nigeria needs deliverance and or re-colonization.

This is a private investment for Pete's sake and has little to do with government or leadership. It's a freaking Mall, hello?! Must you people dig up ridiculous things just to look down on your country? Smh.

Big deal. This looks more like a mall. Aside the swimming pools, I can count a number of malls here in Naija that will rival those pics - Jabi mall, ikeja mall, etc

No I'm not holding brief for this govt, but I'm not sure fine shops with swimming pool have anything to with the with standard of living.

Point is, the comparison is silly to begin with,.

Whether private or government, most times govt and its policy has a lot to do with how investors come to ur country. So you mean for the past 57years+ since we got independence Naija as a nation cannot attract any private investors who can do this or more in our country.

Why?

Nigeria of course is not a well managed country, but comparing both countries missed the mark because of geography, culture, national character, access to tools of development and manpower.

Singapore is basically a Chinese country with well over 70% Chinese population, they rapidly developed based on resources, investments, tools and manpower from China.

Now please tell us, what do you have in common with Singapore that gave you the same opportunities like Singapore?

In fact, Singapore was part of Malaysia and they obtained their independence from Malaysia, are both on the same level today?

Stop talking crap. Investors (both local and foreign) have been investing huge sums in Nigeria infrastructure, e.g, Eko Atlantic is being built as a partnership of both local and foreign investors. Dangote's refinery, the largest in the world, is also a world class infrastructure being built here in Nigeria. The Maryland Mall cost $25-million and was the brainchild of two under-40 ambitious Nigerian young men who convinced investors to drop money for the project in this same Nigeria. Lagos is littered with lots of infrastructure being built by both foreign and local folks but the problem with people like you is that you are blinded by your cynicism that prevents you from seeing anything good that is happening in Nigeria.

Imagine him saying Nigeria hasn't attracted any private investor that would build a common mall since independence?? I don't think his attitude has anything to do with ignorance. It's either plain and deliberate stupidity or self-hatred.

Very illogical .

The need, societal development and consumer demands in Nigeria pre-malls are not the same like in Singapore.

Stop making excuses for Nigeria's failure. The same brain God gave Singaporeans is the same brain he gave Nigerians. The difference is that the Nigerian has refused to use his brain. You people keep supporting politicians who cannot differentiate their left hand from their right all because they are from your tribe and/or religion.

You know fully well that Nigerians don't see each other as one people yet many of you have blatantly refused to restructure or downright split the country so everyone can move on.

Nigeria has no excuse to be the shithole third world country that she has become. The average Nigerian is not intelligent that is why you people keep repeating the same mistakes and expecting different results.

Nigerians know what need to be done to move the country forward but many Nigerians are too complacent. Most Nigerians are too selfish. As long as they and their immediate family members are comfortable, everyone else can go to hell. As long as they are living in their big mansions with walls as high as the wall of Jericho with soldiers and policemen safe guarding their homes and families, they can care less if the country goes up in flames.

Nigeria will never be like Singapore or other developed countries because most Nigerians lack the passion, intelligence, selflessness and will power to move their country forward. They are content living off the breadcrumbs that the political elite throw at them while they sing their praises on social media including Nairaland and wallow in extreme poverty.

Similarly, Singapore reverted to British control, with increasing levels of self-government being granted for those that would be insulting Lord Lugard upandan

Our leaders and those re-electing them in this country are our problem!

I stooped reading your illogical and meaningless essay right here.

We all have the same brain, so why are you not like Einstein or Bill Gates, or Dangote?

Why are we not a billionaire?

Why are we not PHD graduates

Why are all our students not studying in the best universities in the UL and the US?

Obviously, your so so smart brain still couldn't performe at their level to achieve the same success in life.

You think and reason shallow like a primary 2 school kid

the black man and the asian man are different.
The black man described below by lord lugard below in his book dual mandate has not changed in over 100 years.

"Through the ages, the African appears to have evolved no organised religious creed, and though some tribes appear to believe in a deity, the religious sense seldom rises above pantheistic animalism and seems more often to take the form of a vague dread of the supernatural. He lacks the power of organisation, and is conspicuously deficient in the management and control alike of men or business. He loves the display of power, but fails to realize its responsibility - he will work hard with a less incentive than most races. He has the courage of the fighting animal, an instinct rather than a moral virtue. In brief, the virtues and defects of his race -type are those of attractive children, whose confidence when it is won is given ungrudgingly as to an older and wiser superior and without envy. Perhaps, the two traits which have impressed me as those most characteristic of the African native are his lack of apprehension and his lack of ability to visualize the future"

Singapore's population is 5 million

Nigeria's population is 200 million

Give Singapore 200 people, give them 3 different major tribes and languages and 250 ethnic groups then come back with your illogical reasoning and baseless comparisons.
